Decision-Making Based on Fuzzy Estimation of Quality Level for Cargo Delivery

Yuriy P. Kondratenko; Ievgen V. Sidenko

This chapter presents the proposed approach and algorithms for designing hierarhical decision support systems (DSS) based on fuzzy logic with flexible rule base. Special case of changing the structure of the input data’s vector for DSS in transport logistics is considered by authors. The main idea is a correction of fuzzy rule base of fuzzy DSS when different decision-makers can decrease dimension of the vector of DSS’s input coordinates according to their own priorities and criteria. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness and appropriateness of editing fuzzy knowledge bases rules for DSS which solve the problems of transport logistics.

Green-IT Approach to Design and Optimization of Thermoacoustic Waste Heat Utilization Plant Based on Soft Computing

Yuriy P. Kondratenko; Volodymyr Korobko; Oleksiy V. Korobko; Galyna V. Kondratenko; Oleksiy V. Kozlov

Thermoacoustic devices (TAD) are the newest type of unconventional heat machines. Their work is based on the mutual transformation of heat and acoustic energies. This heat machines are characterized by high sensitivity to the working fluid properties (viscosity, density) as well as the environment effects (temperature, pressure, etc.). An effective work of TAD is possible only if the different nature values of the internal parameters (acoustic, hydrodynamic, thermal) are stabilized. The prospective area for thermoacoustic heat machines is their use in the waste energy recovery systems due to their ability to work with both high potential and low potential supplied heat. As the source of waste heat in such systems can be used the exhaust gases after the catalytic converters, or, taking into account latest results in low potential energy utilization with TAD, even the temperature of cooling water (about 90 °C). This paper is devoted to the synthesis of intelligent digital system for control of thermoacoustic plant with providing optimal working conditions for increasing its efficiency. Authors synthesize the fuzzy controllers of Mamdani and Sugeno types for the created control system. Designed fuzzy controllers are compared with a traditional PD controller in terms of their operation speed and accuracy. Special attention is paid to green-IT approach for design of embedded fuzzy systems by the optimization of fuzzy controllers based on the different type and parameters of linguistic terms for input and output signals as well as on minimization of fuzzy rules quantity in the preliminary synthesized fuzzy rule bases. The results of comparative analysis of initial and optimized fuzzy controllers are discussed in detail.

Soft Computing Algorithm for Arithmetic Multiplication of Fuzzy Sets Based on Universal Analytic Models

Yuriy P. Kondratenko; Volodymyr Y. Kondratenko

This paper deals with the investigations of increasing dependability of computing operations for fuzzy numbers with triangular and bell-shape membership functions (MFs). Special attention is paid to the synthesis of analytic models of the MFs for the results of fuzzy arithmetic operations. New analytical models of the result’s MFs with the description of synthesis procedures for the multiplication operation with triangular fuzzy numbers in R + and R are presented in a universal style. The general analytic models for determination of \( \alpha \)-cuts parameters (direct and inverse approaches) for result fuzzy sets are given. Modeling results confirm the efficiency of the proposed models and fuzzy arithmetic algorithms for fuzzy information processing.

The Algorithm of Optimal Polynomial Extrapolation of Random Processes

Igor P. Atamanyuk; Volodymyr Y. Kondratenko; Oleksiy V. Kozlov; Yuriy P. Kondratenko

This work deals with the modelling and prediction of the realizations of random processes in corresponding future time moments. The extrapolation algorithm of nonlinear random process for arbitrary quantity of known significances and random relations used for forecasting has been received on the basis of mathematical instrument of canonical decomposition. The received optimal solutions of the nonlinear extrapolation problem, as well as the canonical decomposition, that was use as a base for optimal solution, does not set any substantional restrictions on the class of investigated random process (liniarity, Markov processes propety, stationarity, monotonicity etc.). Theoretical results, block-diagrams for calculation procedures and the analysis of applied applications, especially for the prediction of economic indexes and parameters of technical devices, are under discussions.

Yuriy P. Kondratenko

This paper devoted to development of most prosperous scientific directions in twenty-first century. Special attention paid to analysis of future perspectives of robotics, automation and information science and their correlation with life science and most important fields of human activity: sport and culture. Different kinds of sport robots and their functionalities are discussed in details, in particular, humanoids, home service robots, game robots etc. The literature analysis shows: some research and investigations deal with problem to find culture differences when the user interacts with a home robot having facial expressions; different nations have different cultures which are inevitably reflected in communication modes; in the field of sports and athletics, it is important for athletes to recognize their own performance by themselves to gain skills effectively using modern robotic and information systems. The role of information technology in culture and sport development is also under consideration as Internet, World Wide Web, and related information and communication technologies have rapidly spread to a large number of countries and cultures.

Synthesis and Research of Neuro-Fuzzy Model of Ecopyrogenesis Multi-circuit Circulatory System

Yuriy P. Kondratenko; Oleksiy V. Kozlov; Leonid Pavlovych Klymenko; Galyna V. Kondratenko

This paper presents the development of the neuro-fuzzy mathematical model of the ecopyrogenesis (EPG) complex multiloop circulatory system (MCS). The synthesis procedure of the neuro-fuzzy model, including its adaptive-network-based fuzzy inference system for temperature calculating (ANFISTC) training particularities with input variables membership functions of different types is presented. The analysis of computer simulation results in the form of static and dynamic characteristics graphs of the MCS as a temperature control object confirms the high adequacy of the developed model to the real processes. The developed neuro-fuzzy mathematical model gives the opportunity to investigate the behavior of the temperature control object in steady and transient modes, in particular, to synthesize and adjust the temperature controller of the MCS temperature automatic control system (ACS).

Comparative Analysis of Evaluation Algorithms for Decision-Making in Transport Logistics

Yuriy P. Kondratenko; Leonid Pavlovych Klymenko; Ievgen V. Sidenko

The analysis of existing methods and approaches for solving transport logistics problems was performed in this paper, particularly, for optimal choice of transport company. In the working process the complex of decision making criteria was formed and the hierarchical structure of decision support system (DSS) for corresponding tasks was made. Thereby the list of different-type methods (classical and fuzzy) for synthesis of developed DSS was defined. A comparative analysis of the application of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and the method based on fuzzy inference was held for synthesis DSS for the optimal choice of transport company. The final results prove the effectiveness and reasonability of using fuzzy modeling in problems of transport logistics.
