Abstract Conflicting pecificities were observed in electro-chemical 2e-reductions of NAD + analogs: 1-phenyl-3-aminocarbonylpyridiniums gave quantitatively 1,4-dihydronicotinamides whereas 1-benzyl and 1-methyl derivatiives gave 1,6-isomers.
