Abstract Ferromagnetic resonance experiments were carried out at frequencies of 9370 Mc, 19230 Mc and 28850 Mc to determine the g-factor for Ni-Zn binary ferrite which was calculated from the corrected Kittel resonance formula, including the internal field in the material: the origin of the internal field was also studied. The dependence of the g-factor on the composition of Ni-Zn binary ferrite is explained satisfactorily from the theory of Tuya and Wangsness.

The microwave Zeeman effect of N 14 H 3 inversion spctra was investigated at strong magnetic field to observe molecular g -factor in the decoupled state of spin-rotation interaction. The result on J , K =1, 1 line shows the transition from Zeeman effect to Paschen-Back effect near 10,000 oersteds. The obtained molecular g -factors for several different J K value give some information on g -factor of N 14 H 3 both parallel and perpendicular to the molecular axis.
