Finite Element Contact Analysis of the Cone Roller Enveloping Worm Gearing and Stress Computation

The cone roller enveloping worm gearing with multi-tooth contact instantaneously is investigated by the finite element contact analysis approach combined with the automatic generation techniques of computational modeling and computer graphic algorithm. The loading distribution among contact gears, contact force distribution along contact line and stresses distribution of the whole finite element model are simulated by the computer procedure. The numerical simulation is important for the further research of the recently developed worm gearing transmission.
