Triple Level High Voltage CMOS Driver Array for Smectic-A Electric Paper Display

A 0.35um HVCMOS Triple Level array drive ASIC protype has been designed and fabricated for the Smectic-A liquid crystal Electric paper displayer (EPD). The pulse switch matrix for the low-to-high voltage level shifter is employed not only for saving the die size and power supply but also for better controlling the output high voltage level edges. Together with the symmetry positive and negative high voltage power supply, the ASIC can be used for better liquid crystal material lifetime. The COG bonding EPD sample displayer drive test has also been demonstrated at the end.
