This paper designs a robotic system based on electric passenger car battery quick-change, in order to meet the development of the domestic electric car. The robot consists of X, Y, Z three freedoms and the R-axis freedom which can adjust the battery angle relative to vehicle chassis. In this paper, we design the robot motion control system by Siemens S7-300PLC, use of robot path planning, multi-axis motion control technology and multi-sensor technology to adjust the position of the battery, take place, angle correction relative to vehicle chassis and installation, make the electric vehicles energy supply more efficient.

This paper designs a system based on electric bus battery quick-change robot to cater the rapid development of electric buses and to solve the problem of the worlds energy shortage and environmental problems. The system has multiple functions as automatically compensate for the parking deviation and automatically quick-change batteries. Using of robot path planning, multi-axis motion control technology and multi-sensor technology to design the mechanical structure of the robot and its motion control system which can adjust the position of the battery, take place, angle correction and installation. The system is stable, reliable by the system debugging and trial operation, achieving a rapid supply of energy to electric buses.

Electric Vehicle which could save energy and protect environment, will be the main trend of automotive industry in the future. Nowadays, battery swap is the main method of EV charging. In this paper, electric vehicle battery swap system based on Siemens PLC which includes battery swap platform, charging bay and battery swap robot, are mainly introduced considering mechanical parts and control system.
