A new method for edge detection of SAR image

A combined method for edge detection of SAR images is put forward in this paper. This method is composed of the wavelet transform, fuzzy median filter, adaptive thresholding and differential gradient operator. In using the fuzzy median filter, this paper gives a new method for adaptively selecting the factors of the fuzzy median filter. The experimental results show the effectiveness and stability of this method.

A new approach of Wigner-Ville distribution in moving targets parameters estimation of SAR

Moving targets imaging is a very difficult problem in synthetic aperture radar (SAR). In this paper, the authors use the Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) to estimate the parameters of moving targets. But because of the bilinearity of the WVD, cross-terms occur if the WVD is used in multitarget processing. In order to decrease the influence of cross terms and not increase computation loads, we preprocess the information of moving targets before using the WVD. Simulation results show the availability of this method.

The analysis of compatible system of AMTI and SAR

Based on the analysis of Adaptive Moving Target Indication (AMTI) and the signal processing of Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR), a complete compatible system of AMTI and SAR is put forward. The compatibility and effectiveness of this system is proved in theory. The results of simulation show that this system not only has good ability in stationary targets imaging but also has ability in detecting moving targets under the background of strong clutter.
