3D simulation of hydrocarbon-expulsion history: a method and its application

During the hydrocarbon expulsion simulation process, it is needed to consider the different mechanisms, modes and kinds of expulsion efficiency at different stages, as well as the changes of oil and gas phases, and the solubility of gas in oil and water. Aiming at the above issues, the combination of modelling methods with stages of normal-pressure hydrocarbon-expulsion and over-pressure episodic hydrocarbon-expulsion is used to calculate the volume of hydrocarbon-expulsion, and considering the gas solubility in oil and water and the changes of volume coefficient as well. Furthermore, by the way of reading coordinates to calculate the volume of each grid-cell in 3D geological model, final quantity of expelled hydrocarbon is calculated with pressure, temperature and residual volume of each cell. Three-dimensional oil and gas pool-forming dynamic simulation system: principle, method and applications

Based on the theories and methods of system engineering, the reconstruction of physical space for oil and gas generation, expulsion, migration, accumulation and diffusion is realised by combining the dynamics simulation with topological structure simulation and applying the topological structure simulation. The integral non-linear process of petroleum system is described successfully with the combination of general and system dynamic simulation. The integration of numerical simulation and artificial intelligence simulation solves the non-linear process description of petroleum generation, expulsion, migration, accumulation and diffusion. At the same time, the basin geological body and its oil and gas generation, expulsion, migration, accumulation process of the three-dimensional visualisation of dynamic modelling, spatial analysis and trap evaluation technologies were further developed in this system. The software has been applied successfully in modelling petroleum systems of Tarim River Oilfield, Zhu III Depression, Linqing Depression, Baise Basin and Dongying Depression, China.

Dynamic simulation and 2D multiple scales and multiple sources within basin geothermal field

In order to accurately describe the geothermal field within a basin, it is necessary to divide it into the normal geothermal field and additional geothermal field. For the accuracy by describing of the additional geothermal field, grids need to be increased. Traditional unequal interval difference method can be used to solve this problem, which has to increase grids within the unnecessary area, so as to make the calculated amount larger. Moreover, the calculation cannot be operated by the computer when there are several anomalous areas. This paper has solved simple difference method by focusing on local grids increased by introducing the method of virtual points. The comparison and analysis of the method show clearly that its precision is within a reasonable error range, whereas the calculation amount decreases obviously. The application of this method into the paleo-thermal field simulation in Dongying Depression, Shandong Province, China is effective in the hybrid simulation of the multiple scales geothermal field model within this area successfully. An implementation of distributed and HTTP-based geological petroleum data web service with RESTful architecture

Abstract It researches how to build a distributed data service platform based on REST architecture in the digital oilfield. In oil enterprise, the data are scattered in the isolated system among various department. Due to the management issue, all the database and interface standards and technologies of departmental system are incompatible to each other. With the continuous expansion of exploration and research, the demand for enterprise data integration platform is tremendous increased. In this paper, we propose a data integration based on REST style data interface. It focuses on the REST interface with HATEOAS constraint and the distributed transaction model driven by REST interface. The data integration platform specifically has solved the sharing and integration issues as well as the transactional problem across heterogeneous system in the oilfield enterprise.
