Comparative study on performance of cement stabilized macadam with vibration mixing and two-cylinder continuous mixing

In order to solve the problem that the conventional continuous forced mixing of cement stabilized macadam is difficult to mixing uniformly, a new method using vibration mixing technology and equipment is proposed. A comparison test of the continuous mixing of double-mixed tanks and single-mixed tank vibration mixing recommended by the industry is carried out. The results show that the components of cement, water and fine aggregates in the new material of vibration-stabilized cement stabilized macadam are distributed. More uniform, the compressive strength of the test piece formed through the test chamber is higher and the dry shrinkage performance of the material is improved; the molding rate of the core sample obtained on the curing road is higher and uniform, and the unconfined compressive strength is higher than that of the two-cylinder mixing.
