The dynamic response of wheel-rail system is analyzed and validated with field measured results based on vehicle-track coupled dynamic theory and the simulation software. Further, the effect of ballastless track irregularity spectra of high-speed railway on wheel-rail interaction forces and statistical characteristics is investigated systematically using a typical Chinese high-speed train and a ballastless track. Research results show that the vehicle-track coupled dynamic method can well simulate the wheel-rail interaction under high-speed driving conditions. The ballastless track spectra of the percentile 75 can be adopted as excitation inputs for evaluating the wheel-rail interaction, and the riding safety and comfort under high-speed driving conditions. The reasonable fatigue check load of ballastless tracks in high-speed railway is 1.5 times as large as static wheel load.
