WIPL-D modeling and results for waveguide filters with printed-circuit inserts

Milka M. Potrebic; Dejan V. Tošić; Zlata Ž. Cvetković; N. Radosavljević

This paper presents a three dimensional electromagnetic (3D EM) modeling of waveguide filters and the corresponding results of the full-wave simulation with WIPL-D EM Solver. The filters are designed as rectangular waveguide structures with planar resonators implemented as printed-circuit inserts. WIPL-D models of building blocks for bandpass and bandstop filters are realized.

Analytical-numerical approach for levitation force calculation of a cylindrical bearing with permanent magnets used in an electric meter

Marian Greconici; Zlata Ž. Cvetković; Ana N. Mladenović; Slavoljub R. Aleksić; Daniela Vesa

Two different approaches of levitation force calculation in electric meters magnetic bearings with two permanent magnets are presented in this paper. The first one is an analytical-numerical method. The results obtained using this method are compared with results calculated numerically by using the 2D-FEM program Opera 13 of Vector Fields. The results are presented in a graphical form.

Bandstop waveguide filters with two or three rejection bands

Snezana Lj Stefanovski; Milka M. Potrebic; Dejan V. Tošić; Zlata Ž. Cvetković

This paper presents a novel design of bandstop waveguide filters with two or three rejection bands, using quarter-wave resonators. Bandstop waveguide filters are designed using printed-circuit inserts realized with single-mode and multi-mode resonators. The filter response is analyzed depending on the parameters of the resonators and their positions on the printed-circuit insert. Various models of dual-band and triple-band filters are developed by employing different combinations of the resonators, as examples of the proposed multi-band filter design.

Optimization procedure for high homogeneity field systems design

Zlata Ž. Cvetković; Mirjana T. Perić; Ana Mladenović Vučković

Two different approaches for homogeneous electrical field generation are presented in this paper. For this generation a primary cell which consists of toroidal electrodes is used. Potential distribution along the system axis is expanded into Taylor and Chebyshev series in the first approach. System dimensions are chosen by setting corresponding terms to zero value so that only linear term remains. In the second approach the synthesis of systems with axial potential linear distribution is performed. Optimization of the electrodes parameters was carried out using gradient method. A deviation of electric field intensity is used as a criterion of the level of obtained homogeneity.

Stability of plan paralel electrode systems for electrostatic space protection

Zlata Ž. Cvetković; Milka M. Potrebic

Stability of the plan parallel electrostatic systems, which can be used for electrostatic space protection from the Earth electrostatic field influence, is presented in this paper. In order to have an overview of behavior of suggested systems with small parameter deviation, deviation of certain dimensions were observed. The analysis showed that the proposed systems are highly efficient and stable and by using them, a high level of space protection from Earths electrostatic field can be achieved.

Analysis of new special Gegenbauer filters generated by Christoffel-Darboux formula

Aleksandar D. Ilić; Zlata Ž. Cvetković; Vlastimir D. Pavlović

Main objective of this work is focused primarily on representation and analysis of the new method of filter function approximation by direct implementation of Christoffel-Darboux formula for Gegenbauer orthogonal polynomials. This paper analyzed parameters of new Gegenbauer continuous low pass filters that shows possibility of implementation filters in wireless communication systems.
