A convenient preparative method for the synthesis of 1,1-bis(trifluoromethyl)alkyl isocyanates was proposed. The reactions of the isocyanates with alcohols, phenols, and alkyl-, aryl-, and hetarylamines were studied.

Abstract4,4-Difluoro-5-trifluoromethyl-2-(2,2,2-trifluoro-1-trifluoromethylethyl)-4H-1,3-dioxine andcis/trans-3-dimethylamino-2-trifluoromethacryloyl fluoride were obtained by reaction ofN-(3,3,3-trifluoro-2-trifluoromethylprop-1-enyl)dimethylamine with MgSO4·7H2O.

Reactions of acylimines of hexafluoroacetone and methyl trifluoropyruvate with 2-aminothiazolines afforded fluorine-containing heterocycles of two structural types: 6,7-dihydro-2H-thiazolo[3,2-a][1,3,5]triazines and 2,3,5,6-tetrahydroimidazo[2,1-b]thiazoles.

Synthesis of substituted 2-amino-4,6-bis(nonafluoro-tert-butyl)- 1,3,5-triazines

A procedure was developed for the synthesis of substituted 2-amino-4,6-bis(nonafluoro-tert-butyl)-1,3,5-triazines from 2-chloro-4,6-bis(nonafluoro-tert-butyl)-1,3,5-triazine and aliphatic and aromatic amines. The data of19F NMR spectroscopy are indicative of the presence of a barrier to internal rotation.
