Synthesis of 1,1-bis(trifluoromethyl)alkyl isocyanates, carbamates, and ureas

A convenient preparative method for the synthesis of 1,1-bis(trifluoromethyl)alkyl isocyanates was proposed. The reactions of the isocyanates with alcohols, phenols, and alkyl-, aryl-, and hetarylamines were studied.

Abstract4,4-Difluoro-5-trifluoromethyl-2-(2,2,2-trifluoro-1-trifluoromethylethyl)-4H-1,3-dioxine andcis/trans-3-dimethylamino-2-trifluoromethacryloyl fluoride were obtained by reaction ofN-(3,3,3-trifluoro-2-trifluoromethylprop-1-enyl)dimethylamine with MgSO4·7H2O.

Synthesis of substituted 2-amino-4,6-bis(nonafluoro-tert-butyl)- 1,3,5-triazines

A procedure was developed for the synthesis of substituted 2-amino-4,6-bis(nonafluoro-tert-butyl)-1,3,5-triazines from 2-chloro-4,6-bis(nonafluoro-tert-butyl)-1,3,5-triazine and aliphatic and aromatic amines. The data of19F NMR spectroscopy are indicative of the presence of a barrier to internal rotation.

Synthesis and polymerization metathesis of fluorinated bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-enes. New materials for gas separation membranes

Abstract We report the synthesis and polymerization metathesis of fluorinated bicyclo [2.2.1]hept-2-enes Ia–IIIa : R 1 =R 2 =CF 3 ( I ); R 2 =F, R 2 =OC 3 F 7 ( II ); R 1 =F, R 2 =OCF 2 CF(CF 3 )OC 3 F 7 ( III );cat. - WCl 6 (WOCl 4 ) - organosilane. Monomers IIa and IIIa are novel compounds. Polycyclopentylenevinylenes Ib , IIlb easily form thin films which possess selective gas penetration. The best separation was obtained for the pair CH 4 CO 2 . Gas separation membranes are under development ( e.g. CU 4 from biogas). All results obtained will be discussed.

A new method of organophosphorus (III) compounds oxidative fluorination by fluorinated alkylazides

Abstract We found that fluorinated alkylazides CF3CHXCF2N3 (XF (A), CF3) can be used as convenient, versatile and inexpensive tool for oxidative fluorination of organophosphorus (III) compounds. For example: Alkyldifluorophosphites undergo unusual Arbuzov-like rearragement into alkyldifluorophosphonates with simultaneous isomerization of alkyl substituent in presence of catalitic amounts of A. Mechanisms of all reactions is proposed on the basis of NMR study.
