Implementation of electronic medical record in community health center towards medical big data analytics application

Agung W. Setiawan; Nedya Utami; Tati L. R. Mengko; Adi Indrayanto

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is digitized version of medical record. Medical record is the file that contains notes and documents about patients identity, examination, therapy, treatments, and other services that have been given to the patient. The EMR is part of Management Information System for Community Health Center (MISCHC). In this paper, we discussed about the EMR that we designed and implemented based on the business process at one of Community Health Center in Bandung. This designed MISCHC also tries to support medical big data analytics application because the designed database is expected to be used in Decision Support System for City Health Office.

Brain signal reference concept using cross correlation based for brain computer interface

Beni Rio Hermanto; Tati L. R. Mengko; Adi Indrayanto; Ary Setijadi Prihatmanto

The sub system for EEG based brain computer interface system are feature extraction and classification. Translation from brain signal that contain a human intention into computers command or message should be accomplished with good feature extraction nor classification. One of the methods for analyzing brain signal in feature extraction process is using band power measurement from few or many EEG channels. Recalibration or daily calibration was needed in using brain computer interface instrument. In order to make the feature extraction more reliable, the proposed method is using brain signal reference. To develop brain signal reference, sampling method taken from brain signal when human intention occur. The next feature extraction will analyze whether the signal is similar with signal reference or not. Feature extraction will uses cross correlation method to measure the similarity. Based on the hypothesis that brain will produce the similar signal in the same intention, the brain signal reference concept is the method can be used for feature extraction process. It is also should be considered the level of similarity which it will transfer to classification process in estimating the intention. It is feasible using brain signal reference concept based on cross correlation method.

Bicep brachii's force estimation using MAV method on assistive technology application

Reza Darmakusuma; Ary Setijadi Prihatmanto; Adi Indrayanto; Tati L. R. Mengko

This paper presents signal processing of single channel surface electromyography (sEMG) on bicep brachii and its alternative application on assistive technology. Mean Absolute Value (MAV) method is used to estimate the average of muscles force which correlates with its sEMG voltage amplitude. As a result, this estimating value controls box in virtual world as biofeedback in three classes; rest condition, lifted arm without load, and lifted arm with load. From this point, bicep brachiis force value can be estimated by using its sEMG voltage amplitude in particular range.

Application protocol data unit implementation in e-health smart card for health and medical data record

Beni Rio Hermanto; Tati L. R. Mengko; Adi Indrayanto; Taufiqur Rahman

In order to implement paperless system in small scale hospital or health service provider in villages or rural area, it is should be provided the mechanism to collect, store and forward the data to the health and medical information system. Beside collect the health and medical data, it is also should be considered that health and medical track could be traced easily, especially for the doctor. No need to recheck the health or medical status if the previous data is still provided and valid. The method for collects those data is using the smart card. To ensure the integrity and validity of data, application protocol data unit is implemented. The application protocol data unit provides the list specific commands for create, update and delete data. All of command is proprietary and not published to avoid the interference to the data. The capability in data storing supported with application protocol data unit, smart card is an alternative paperless solution to manage the health and medical data for small scale hospital or health service provider in villages or rural area. The bigger data storage and transform scenario should be also considered for comprehensive implementation because the limitation space of the smart card.

Smart card mobile data collection system concept for health and medical data collecting activities in rural area

Beni Rio Hermanto; Adi Indrayanto; Arif Sasongko

Health and medical data is something essential data which should be well recorded. At rural area, the existing mechanism in storing those data is written down to the book. It is difficult to share and recap the data if still in the book. In order to store and more utilize the health and medical data it is should be provided the digital record system. The digital record system at least supported with record medium and device for data transfer. Record medium needs to be specified because the data is shareable for the doctor. Smart card is an alternative for record medium but should be integrated with the device for data transfer operation. In rural area that there was limitation of electrical power supply and due the mobility of the doctor activities, the device should compact and has low power consumption. So mobile data collection system (MDCS) concept is developed for some of those conditions. The main function of mobile data collection system is transferring data to smart card and to health information system. Mobile data collection system also should support to ensure the data integrity and validity. This mobile data collection system concept typically developed, based on requirement on fields.

Building an overlay for wireless mesh network

W. P. Santika; Muhammad Ghifary; Adi Indrayanto; Iping Supriana

The research and development of the wireless mesh networks (WMNs) now still popular. P2P was an old technique, but it is coming back for building an virtual overlay network on top of physical network. Open Chord as varian of Chord is a tool based on distributed hash table that can be used to build overlay. In swarm intelligence presented the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. One application of the algorithm named Sensor PSO for square area sensor network. We had modified this application for free rectangle area network. In this paper we report a study how to build an overlay network based on Open Chord. The objective of our study is to use overlay network to efficiently find the resources currently available in the WMNs. Our application firstly read the output of SensorPSO for building an underlay network, then built a virtual overlay on top of the underlay. The virtual overlay network resulted can be used for routing simulation.

Easy-algorithm in detecting left/right eye movements for playing pinball

Reza Darmakusuma; Ary Setijadi Prihatmanto; Adi Indrayanto

Eye movement is a part of biofeedback that could be considered as a trigger for control purpose. In this paper, left movement and right movement of eyes is studying. The differences between eye movements for control and movement for identification and interaction with others are also considered. The system that built for implementation is pinball game. Pinball game uses serial-threshold algorithm for identifying direction of eye movements. With time limit 0.5 second for eye movements, the result that achieved with this method is +/- 80% with 1 second time response.
