A significant efficiency increase of the photovoltaic systems can be obtained by optimal exposure to the sunlight, using automatic solar trackers. In this paper we propose a detector for one or two axis automatic orientation, which permit a continuous tracking for the entire zenith angle range. The detector has a monotonous and almost linear characteristic for incident angles from −90° to 90°, on any axe. It is appropriate for an analog, low cost, tracking procedure, but also for a digital, more precise one. The West to East return procedure is simple, because of the illumination of at least one cell.

The photovoltaic panel is a power source whose parameters depend on some external factors like incident light angle, shading, ambient temperature etc. Some of these factors are unpredictable and, for this reason, so is the evolution of cell parameters. The most known parameters of the photovoltaic panel are the open circuit voltage (Voc) and short circuit current (Isc). These values define the points where the I(V) graph curve of the panel intersects the two axes (I and V), like in Fig. 1.

This paper contains the presentation of a virtual environment which allows the rapid design and verification of human prostheses. Primarily, the platform has been created for inferior limb prostheses, but it is usable for any kind of prosthesis. The system allows the virtual testing of the prosthesis models, control systems, sensors, and the comparison between a real prosthesis and a virtual one. We can perform, in a virtual environment, tests on larger sets of configurations, in a very short time and with a very low cost.

In this article, we present a solution for implementing traffic control in an urban area. This is a low cost solution that is easily to implement and extend. There is no need any infrastructure at road network level except only a device that collect data about traffic in key road crossing. The presented solution creates a strong base for traffic management and offers an infrastructure for other urban traffic applications.

The main goal of this paper is to present a new minimization method for the nondeterministic networks. The motivation of this article is given by the recently developed minimization system named COMIN. This method comprises a deep analysis of the deterministic and nondeterministic multi-valued networks, complete or incomplete specified networks and of the possible adopted strategies during the combinational minimization.

Nowadays, the decisional diagrams principle is generally adopted as the base technique for decisional systems analysis. The proposed technique is based on different principles and strategies. This technique opens the way for more native interpretations of logic comprised by a decisional system, free by constriction of hardware implementation possibilities.
