Immobilization of glucose oxidase on poly‐(L‐lysine)‐modified polycarbonate membrane

The paper describes the immobilization of glucose oxidase on a polycarbonate membrane modified by a urethane coupling with poly‐(L‐lysine) and activated with glutaraldehyde. The enzymic properties of the immobilized enzyme were investigated and compared with the those of native glucose oxidase. The thermal stability and pH stability of the immobilized glucose oxidase were greater than those of the native enzyme. The membrane was applied as a glucose sensor.

広葉樹を原料とする硫酸塩法溶解パルプ製造時の前加水分解工程で生成する各種の揮発性反応生成物の確認を行ない沸点96℃以下の低沸点留分中に12成分を見出した。この中で確認されたものはアセトアルデヒド,アセトン,メチルアルコール,アセトアルデヒドジメチルアセタール,ギ酸メチル,酢酸メチル,ジアセチルの7成分である。またフルフラールと水の共沸混合物を主体とする留分中に5-メチルフルフラールの存在を確認した。揮発性有機酸として酢酸とギ酸を確認したがギ酸は量的にみて酢酸よりはるかに少ない。これらの反応生成物の前加水分解中の挙動を調べ,酢酸,フルフラールが前加水分解の進行とともに最初から増加するのに対してメチルアルコール,アセトン,アセトアルデヒドジメチルアセタール,酢酸メチル等は前加水分解の初期に多く,次第に生成量が減少することを見出した。ただしジアセチルは前加水分解中,一定の生成割合で生成する。
