O mito da mãe exclusiva e seu impacto na depressão pós-parto

This article is the result of a qualitative study, based on Qualitative Epistemology, aimed to promote reflections on postnatal depression, emphasizing the psychological and social factors involved. This is a case study about one of the participants of a support group for mothers with postnatal depression, developed at the Universidade Catolica de Brasilia. The aim of this group was to provide a space of emotional listening and support, and it was a field for collecting data. The technique of completing phrases, projective techniques, and accounts presented in individual and group sessions were used for the survey and construction of indicators about the experience of maternity and postnatal depression. The study of this case gave us elements to understand how an ideal of maternity presented as natural and instinctive can be harmful for women that try to obtain absolute satisfaction in their experience of maternity, configuring this ideal as one of the responsible elements for the installation and maintenance of postnatal depression.

O pré-natal psicológico como programa de prevenção à depressão pós-parto

O pre-natal psicologico (PNP) e um novo conceito em atendimento perinatal voltado para maior humanizacao do processo gestacional e do parto e da parentalidade. Pioneiro em Brasilia, o programa visa a integracao da gestante e da familia a todo o processo gravidico-puerperal, por meio de encontros tematicos em grupo, com enfase psicoterapica na preparacao psicologica para a maternidade e paternidade e prevencao da depressao pos-parto (DPP). O objetivo da pesquisa foi avaliar a contribuicao do PNP para prevenir a DPP. Optou-se pela metodologia da pesquisa-acao. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: perfil gestacional, perfil puerperal, sessoes e materiais produzidos no PNP, Inventario Beck de Depressao, Escala de depressao pos-natal de Edimburgo questionario avaliativo e completamento de frases. Os resultados foram comparados entre cinco colaboradoras participantes do PNP (grupo intervencao) e cinco nao participantes (grupo controle) e encontrou-se que entre o grupo intervencao a ocorrencia dos fatores de risco superou a dos fatores de protecao e mais metade desse grupo evidenciou depressao gestacional, mas nao desenvolveram a DPP. Ja no grupo controle, duas colaboradoras apresentaram a DPP. Esses achados sugerem que o PNP associado a fatores de protecao presentes na historia das gravidas pode ajudar a prevenir a DPP. Defende-se que a assistencia psicologica na gestacao, por meio da utilizacao do PNP, e importante instrumento psicoprofilatico que deve ser implementado como uma politica publica emunidades basicas de saude, maternidades e servicos de pre-natal.

Avosidade x maternidade: a avó como suporte parental na adolescência

This is a case study aimed to identify and discuss the place of the grandmother as parental support for a 15-year-old patient. It was based on reports of their psychotherapy sessions, which showed the helplessness of the adolescents regarding the lack of a social safety net and institutional and pointed the mother’s fragility to resist the acts of destructiveness imposed by her teenager. It was found that the grandmother occupied a place of emotional support for this teen as her mother had difficulties in exercising her parental role. The adolescent in psychotherapy could work challenges related to her mother and grandmother. It is hypothesized that adolescent transgression relates to conscious or unconscious signification that searches limits and direc ted the recognition of these two female figures. The psychotherapeutic process allowed this teen to experience her instinctual
