Renal venography was performed in a patient suffereing from hypertension due to fibromuscular dysplasia of the renal artery. The venogram revealed morphological changes in the renal veins similar to those seen in fibromuscular dysplasia of the arteries. Histological examination of the veins showed fibrosis of the medial wall layer.

The thoracic duct was visualized throughout its course by computed tomography in 18 patients with Hodgkins disease or metastatic spread of cancer. The anatomy of the thoracic duct, as demonstrated by computed tomography, was found to agree with descriptions of the duct as seen in lymphography. The relationship of the duct to other organs can be accurately assessed only by computed tomography, although visualization of fine details of the duct itself requires lymphography

Definitive computed tomography-guided percutaneous drainage of right upper abdominal abscesses was performed in eight patients (11 procedures). A lateral perpendicular approach was used in all cases. An Argyl trocar catheter was used in nine procedures and a pigtail catheter in two. The drainage was successful in seven patients. In one patient no drainable abscess was found.Percutaneous abdominal abscess drainage should be considered a satisfactory alternative to surgical drainage in poor-risk patients as well as in patients who have had repeated operations in whom any further surgery may be unduly difficult.
