Estudo complementar da validade fatorial da Escala Fatorial de Satisfação em Relacionamento e predição de satisfação global com a relação

Resumo A pesquisa complementa a validacao da Escala Fatorial de Satisfacao em Relacionamento de Casal, junto a uma amostra diferenciada formada por 342 universitarios em relacionamentos estaveis (52,3% eram mulheres). Apos analise fatorial foi verificada estrutura fatorial semelhante e indices de confiabilidade superiores aos do primeiro estudo, embora um dos itens tenha obtido carga inferior a 0,30 nos dois fatores. Foi realizada uma analise de regressao multipla para relacionar as dimensoes da escala com uma medida de satisfacao global no relacionamento. O modelo com as duas subescalas da EFS-RC como preditores explicou 46% da variância da satisfacao com o relacionamento. Desenvolvimento de uma medida multidimensional para avaliação de qualidade em relacionamentos românticos - Aquarela-R

This paper presents results about the development of a new psychological measure for quality assessment in romantic relationships. The Scale for Quality Assessment in Romantic Relationships (Aquarela-R) follows the parameters of a semantic differential (SD) and it is proposed to directly assess five cognitive, affective and behavioral dimensions of romantic relationships: (a) commitment, (b) intimacy, (c) love, (d) sexual relationship, and (e) communication. Two studies comprised the research: the first was a study of the semantics of descriptors, and the second one was about development of the measure. Three hundred eighty eight people participated in this survey, 211 (54.4%) were males and the average age of the participants was 28.2 years old (SD = 9.1 years). The final measure showed consistent results in terms of its factorial and external validity as well as Cronbachs alpha indices of reliability higher than .90 in all factors.

Evidências de validade da Escala Triangular do Amor de Sternberg - Reduzida (ETAS-R)

Evidence of validity of Sternbergs Triangular Love Scale -Short Version (ETAS-R) Sternbergs triangular theory of love is a model in which love is composed by three essential aspects: intimacy, passion and commitment. The aim of the study was to verify the aspects of construct validity and component reliability of a measure and theory of love in a Brazilian sample. 1.530 individuals participated in this study, 660 males and 870 females, divided in two sub-samples. The results from exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses indicate the confirmation of the triangular structure of the measure and the phenomenon in this Brazilian sample. The precision and reliability of the scale were adequate and above 0.80. The results of this study recommended the use of the measure to study the phenomenon.

Construção e validação da Escala de Imprevisibilidade Familiar na Infância (EIFI)

This study aimed to construct and validate a psychological measure called Family Unpredictability Scale in Childhood for the Brazilian population. The study included 394 people: 158 adults in conflict with the law that had already been in prison (M=34.23 years; SD=10.17), 122 college students (M=19.26; SD=2.06), and 114 women above 40 years old and, at least, high school schooling (M=51.19; SD=8.64). Procedures of content, face and construct validity were conducted. The factor analysis generated an instrument structured in four dimensions (care/support, financial resources, food and discipline) with satisfactory reliability indexes for all of them. It was concluded that Family Unpredictability Scale in Childhood was validated to Brazilian population and that it can be used as an instrument to measure family unpredictability in childhood on the national scene.

Influência do recrutamento de participantes em sítios temáticos e comunidades virtuais nos resultados de medidas psicológicas aplicadas pela Internet

Data of psychological measures, obtained after opt-in recruitment through Internet sites, were compared to those from the administration of print questionnaires. In the first study, 545 participants from online communities completed the Factorial Scale of Satisfaction in Couple Relationship, the Rusbult Scale of Relationship Satisfaction and the reduced version of the Psychological Well-Being Scales. In the second study, 1,197 participants of websites about soccer answered the Soccer Supporter Team Identification Scale and the Soccer Supporter Fanatism Scale. Factorial structure and reliability results are similar in both versions. However, in the second study, there were differences due to a bias in the sample, pointing out the opt-in strategies limitations.

Uma breve história das tentativas para medir atributos dos relacionamentos amorosos em língua portuguesa

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo estudiar los instrumentos existentes para evaluar los constructos relacionados con las relaciones amorosas romanticas disponibles en portugues. Los instrumentos fueron estudiados por medio de bases de datos y los contactos personales de los autores. Son relatados usos y propiedades psicometricas de 17 instrumentos para medir constructos como: las actitudes y la satisfaccion en relacionamientos, amor, estilos de amor , celos romanticos, entre otros. Se concluye que muchos de los principales instrumentos utilizados en el contexto internacional tienen por lo menos un estudio en portugues, reportando una buena validez y fiabilidad. El proximo paso en la investigacion en este campo debe ser los manuales que permitan el uso de estas medidas aplicadas.

Escala de diferencial semântico para avaliação da percepção de pacientes hospitalizados frente ao banho

Objecti ve: To construct and validate a semantic differential scale to assess patients’ perceptions in regarding bathing. Methods: The first stage consisted of constructing a scale, conforming to specific theoretical parameters, and the second stage consisted of factorial validation procedures and calculation of the measure of reliability coefficients. One hundred thirty patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit participated in the validation study. Results: The resulting measure of semantic differential presented as a product of a two-dimensional scale with Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficients greater than 0.90. Conclusion: The scale can be considered a valid and reliable instrument for assessing patients’ perceptions regarding showers and bed baths.OBJETIVO: Construir y validar una escala de diferencial semantico que evalue la percepcion de los pacientes en relacion al bano. METODOS: La primera etapa, consto de la construccion de la escala, conforme los niveles teoricos especificos y la segunda etapa, estuvo compuesta por procedimientos de validacion factorial y el calculo de los coeficientes de confiabilidad de la medida. En el estudio de validacion participaron 130 pacientes internados en una Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. RESULTADOS: La medida del diferencial semantico resultante presento como producto una escala bidimensional con coeficientes de confiabilidad alfa Cronbach superiores a 0,90. CONCLUSION: La escala puede ser considerada un instrumento valido y confiable para la evaluacion de la percepcion de los pacientes frente a los banos de ducha y en la cama.

Escala de crenças sobre amor romântico: indicadores de validade e precisão

Aspects of beliefs commonly interact in the dynamics of romantic relationships, thus influencing aspects of the perception, expectations and relationship strategies, among others. This research aimed to construct and validate a measure assessing beliefs about love in a Brazilian sample and verify its dimensional structure. A total of 1,530 individuals participated in this study, 660 of these being males and 870 females: The sample was divided into two sub-samples. The results showed a psychometric instrument with adequate parameters of precision and a confirmed structure of six-dimensional factors styles of love in a Brazilian sample: eros, agape, ludus, storge, mania and pragma.

Diferenças no investimento materno em função de variáveis socioambientais

Differences in maternal investment as a function of socio-environmental variables. The Theory of Parental Investment predicts a decrement in parental investment as the benefit/cost ratio decreases. Differences in maternal investment were investigated in relation to socio-environmental variables that may have an impact on the benefit/cost ratio. The factors investigated showed, in general, effects on maternal investment in the expected direction according to the theory: as costs increased, represented by the absence of cohabitation with the father, diminished income and early reproductive age, lower levels of investment were observed. It is concluded that socio-environmental factors may promote or inhibit maternal investment, indicating the importance of public policies in promoting the stability of these variables.
