We show that the supersymmetric radial ladder operators of the three-dimensional isotropic harmonic oscillator are contained in the spherical components of the creation and annihilation operators of the system. Also, we show that the constants of motion of the problem, written in terms of these spherical components, lead us to second-order radial operators. Further, we show that these operators change the orbital angular momentum quantum number by two units and are equal to those obtained by the Infeld–Hull factorization method.

For the quantum two-dimensional isotropic harmonic oscillator we show that the Infeld–Hull radial operators, as well as those of the supersymmetric approach for the radial equation, are contained in the constants of motion of the problem.

We establish a condition for obtaining differential ladder operators of functions that satisfy the general addition theorem. We show that trigonometric and hyperbolic functions fulfill this condition and give some properties and applications of these operators.

The equations of motion for a relativistic extended object loaded with a superconducting edge are found in terms of geometrical quantities defined on the worldsheet. The results are applied to the study of a domain wall bounded by a superconducting string. Several cases for attaining equilibrium configurations are discussed.

Abstract We study the possibility of observing CP -violation through the existence of an electric dipole moment of the W-boson in the process γe ± → W ± v. Such an electric dipole moment could be detected in the backward direction, without interference of magnetic and electric quadrupole moments of the W.

We investigate the physical properties of a purely kinetic k-essence model with an equation of state motivated in superconducting membranes. We compute the equation of state parameter w and discuss its physical evolution via a nonlinear equation of state. Using the adiabatic speed of sound and energy density, we restrict the range of parameters of the model in order to have an acceptable physical behavior. We study the evolution of the scale factor and address the question of the possible existence of finite-time future singularities. Furthermore, we analyze the evolution of the luminosity distance
