Biodiversidade de Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) e monitoramento das espécies de Pimplinae e Poemeniinae do Capão da Imbuia, Curitiba, Paraná

Alice Fumi Kumagai; Vinalto Graf

The ichneumofauna of Capao da Imbuia was studied during three years of capture, using Malaise traps. 114,469 specimens were captured, of which 3,603 belong to 20 subfamilies of ichneumonids. Pimplinae and Poemeniinae in the wood contains 14 genera and 48 species. In the first sample (1978-1979), 23 species were captured; in the second (1985-1986), 21 species were obtained, 13 of which had been previously captured, with an addition of eight species. And in the last sample (1995-1996), 39 species were obtained, of which 17 had not previously been captured. The dominant species, considering the number of individuals, were: Pimpla semirufa Brulle, 1846, Pimpla caerulea Brulle, 1846, Neotheronia aff. hespenheidei, Pimpla golbachi (Porter, 1970), Pimpla sumichrasti Cresson, 1874, Flacopimpla sulina Graf & Kumagai, 1997 and Pimpla tomyris Schrottky, 1902.

Os ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) da Estação EcolÓgica da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, com ênfase nas espécies de Pimplinae

Alice Fumi Kumagai

The Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) of the Estacao Ecologica of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, with emphasis on the Pimplinae species. In one annual cycle 83,712 insects were captured, of which 2,339 were Ichneumonidae, belonging to 17 subfamilies; they were collected by a Malaise trap placed in a montane semidecidual seasonal forest, inside the campus. Among the collected ichneumonids there were 13 genera and 30 species of Pimplinae, of which Pimpla croceiventris was the most frequent species. The species richness of Pimplinae was greater in the ecological station in Belo Horizonte, MG than in other localities studied.

Cladistic analysis and systematic revision of the Zethus smithii (de Saussure) species-group sensu Bohart & Stange (Hymenoptera : Vespidae : Eumeninae)

Rogério B. Lopes; Alice Fumi Kumagai; Lionel A. Stange; Marcel G. Hermes

Abstract. Zethus Fabricius is the largest genus within the Eumeninae and is currently divided into four subgenera. Three of them, namely, Z. (Zethoides), Z. (Zethus) and Z. (Zethusculus), are further subdivided into species-groups. The Zethus smithii species-group is among a few that present an elongated stem in the second metasomal tergum, but possess no other distinctive features. Here, a cladistic analysis under implied weighted characters was conducted. The Z. smithii-group was recovered as paraphyletic in relation to Z. hilarianus-group and, thus, both were combined into a single group named after the latter. Furthermore, the species of the Z. smithii species-group (sensu Bohart & Stange) were revised. Zethus dicomboda dicomboda and Z. dicomboda prixii were synonymised. Five new species were described: Z. alessandroi, sp. nov., Z. kaapora, sp. nov., Z. mesocarinatus, sp. nov., Z. pontagrossensis, sp. nov. and Z. scrobalis, sp. nov. A key to the species is provided.

Uma nova espécie de Cladomorphus Gray, 1835 (Phasmatidae, Cladomorphinae) de Minas Gerais, Brasil

Alice Fumi Kumagai; Nilson Gonçalves da Fonseca

Cladomorphus trimariensis sp. nov., from Tres Marias, Minas Gerais, is described and illustrated. The new species is different from C. phyllinus Gray, 1835 mainly for the operculum and micropylar plate of egg, absence of spines on the mid and hind legs, for the preopercular organ and distal projection of terga IV and V, that are less developed.

A ocorrência de Flacopimpla Gauld no Brasil (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae, Pimplinae)

Vinalto Graf; Alice Fumi Kumagai

Flacopimpla was described with one species, F. varelae by Gauld (1991) from Costa Rica (only females, Guanacaste National Park). This genus is recorded for the first time in Brazil and a new species, F. sulina, is described and the distribution in southeast and south of Brazil is mapped (Minas Gerais: Belo Horizonte; Parana: Telemaco Borba, Ponta Grossa, Curitiba, Colombo, Antonina).

Review of the Neotropical species of Stauropoctonus Brauns, 1889 (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae: Ophioninae).

Alessandro Rodrigues Lima; Claudia Maria Jacobi; Alice Fumi Kumagai

The taxonomy of Neotropical species of Stauropoctonus is reviewed, with redescriptions of S. bicarinatus and S. excarinatus, the description of four new Brazilian species, S. amazonensis sp. n., S. leotacilioi sp. n., S. michelle sp. n., and S. rectus sp. n., and for the first time with a detailed study of the male genitalia of the genus. Additionally, we provide a key to the world Stauropoctonus species.

Lathrolestes Förster, 1869 (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) from Brazil, with description of two new species and a key to the Neotropical species.

Alessandro Rodrigues Lima; Alice Fumi Kumagai

The taxonomic knowledge about Brazilian Ichneumonidae species is still incipient, especially for groups poorly represented in the Neotropics, like Ctenopelmatinae. The genus Lathrolestes Förster, 1869, mainly Holarctic, is here recorded for the first time to Brazil, with description of L. piranga Lima & Kumagai sp. n. and L. pitunauassu Lima & Kumagai sp. n. Additionally, a key to the Neotropical species is provided.

Vinalto Graf; Alice Fumi Kumagai

Jomine, new genus and the new species J. una from South Brazil and J. tagoauna from Rondonia, Brazil, are described.
