The ichneumofauna of Capao da Imbuia was studied during three years of capture, using Malaise traps. 114,469 specimens were captured, of which 3,603 belong to 20 subfamilies of ichneumonids. Pimplinae and Poemeniinae in the wood contains 14 genera and 48 species. In the first sample (1978-1979), 23 species were captured; in the second (1985-1986), 21 species were obtained, 13 of which had been previously captured, with an addition of eight species. And in the last sample (1995-1996), 39 species were obtained, of which 17 had not previously been captured. The dominant species, considering the number of individuals, were: Pimpla semirufa Brulle, 1846, Pimpla caerulea Brulle, 1846, Neotheronia aff. hespenheidei, Pimpla golbachi (Porter, 1970), Pimpla sumichrasti Cresson, 1874, Flacopimpla sulina Graf & Kumagai, 1997 and Pimpla tomyris Schrottky, 1902.

Flacopimpla was described with one species, F. varelae by Gauld (1991) from Costa Rica (only females, Guanacaste National Park). This genus is recorded for the first time in Brazil and a new species, F. sulina, is described and the distribution in southeast and south of Brazil is mapped (Minas Gerais: Belo Horizonte; Parana: Telemaco Borba, Ponta Grossa, Curitiba, Colombo, Antonina).

The species of the tribe Paracolletini are presented as the first part of a commented catalog of Colletidae bees, frora the Neotropical Region. The geographic distribution, flowers, biological behaviour, taxonomy, type locality and depositary museums are mentioned, bibliographic information are given for each species and a new genus, Actenosigynes, is proposed to Leioproctus (L.) fidvoniger Michener, 1989.

The Xoridinae with four genera are nearly cosmopolitan and Xorides are mainly Holartic in distribution. This genus has in South America three subgenera with four species, X. (Xorides) xanthisma Porter, 1975, X. (Pyramirhyssa) magnificus (Mocsary. 1905), X. (Periceros) plumicornis (Smith, 1877) and X. (Periceros) euthrix Porter, 1975. The males of X. magnificus and X. xanthisma are described. Xorides euthrix and X. xanthisma are for the first time registered from Brazil. Comments are made on the morphology and distribution is registered for the eastern Brazil. Alphus sp. Cerambycidae, is the host of X. euthrix.

Oxaea mourei, sp.n is described, from Parana State, Brazil. This new species is most closely related to O. schwarzi. They may be easily distinguished from each other since the hairs in O. mourei are yellow-golden while those of O. schwarzi are mostly black. The eyes of the male in O. schwarzi are strongly convergent above and those of O. mourei are weakly diverging above.

Oxaea sooretama sp. nov. is described and illustrated and the females of O. alvarengai Moure & Urban, 1963 and of O. schwarzi Moure & Seabra, 1962 are described for the first time. New occurrences are included and a key to the species with blackened terga is presented.
