The new Audi S4

The new Audi S4 is the sports model that tops the A4 range and, like its predecessor, is available as a saloon or as an Avant estate car. For the first time ever this model series is fitted with an extremely compact high-performance, high-torque eight-cylinder engine. The combination of quattro permanent all-wheel drive and modified A4 suspension using aluminium components ensures outstandingly dynamic driving and emphasizes the car’s supreme sporting character.

Der neue Audi S4 ist das sportliche Spitzenmodell der A4-Reihe und wird, wie schon sein Vorganger, als Limousine und Avant angeboten. Erstmals kommt in dieser Modellreihe ein leistungs- und drehmomentstarker, sehr kompakter Achtzylindermotor zum Einsatz. In Verbindung mit dem permanenten Allradantrieb quattro und dem modifizierten A4-Aluminium-Fahrwerk wird eine herausragende Fahrdynamik garantiert und die souverane Sportlichkeit unterstrichen.

The new Audi A4 Cabriolet

The new A4 Cabriolet combines exclusivity with sporty dynamism and outstanding comfort. Its classically elegant design is characterised by taut, clear lines and expansive curving surfaces. Creating a fully-fledged four-seater with very high-quality equipment such as the standard-equipment fully automatic hood was a further focal point of development work. The engine and suspension technology corresponds to that of the saloon version. The availability of the multitronic continuously variable transmission is unique in the convertible segment.

Das neue A4-Cabriolet verbindet Exklusivitat mit sportlicher Dynamik und herausragendem Komfort. Das klassisch elegante Design ist gekennzeichnet durch straffe, schnorkellose Linienfuhrung und groszugig gewolbte Flachen. Ein vollwertiger Viersitzer mit anspruchsvollster Ausstattung wie beispielsweise das serienmasige vollautomatische Verdeck waren weitere wichtige Entwicklungsschwerpunkte. Die Motoren- und Fahrwerkstechnik entspricht der Limousine. Das Angebot der stufenlosen Multitronic ist einzigartig im Cabriosegment.

The new Audi A4 Avant

The new A4 Avant is a luxury estate car or “sport wagon”, combining design and dynamics with elegance and versatility. The sporty lines of the design, with its high belt line and discreetly suggested wedge shape, are marked by a puristic clarity. As with the A4 saloon, development of the Avant was focused in particular on achieving a careful balance for the vehicle as a whole. Many of the technical features, for example the engines and the aluminium suspension, are the same as those in the saloon. The multi-functionality and the optimum usability of the load-carrying space have been extensively further developed in comparison to the predecessor model.

Der neue A4 Avant ist als Edel-Kombi konzipiert, der Design und Dynamik sowie Eleganz und Vielseitigkeit verbindet. Die sportliche Linienfuhrung des Designs mit hoher Gurtellinie und dezent angedeuteter Keilform ist von puristischer Klarheit gepragt. Analog zur A4-Limousine war bei der Entwicklung des Fahrzeugs ein sorgfaltig abgestimmtes Gesamtkonzept von besonderer Bedeutung. Wesentliche Technikumfange, zum Beispiel Motoren und Aluminium-Fahrwerk, entsprechen der Limousine. Die Multifunktionalitat sowie optimale Nutzbarkeit des Laderaums wurde gegenuber dem Vorgangermodell umfassend weiterentwickelt.
