Considerações sobre a letra: a psicose em questão

The present paper analyzed the place occupied by psychosis as a structure in relation to neurosis, based on reflections about the mechanisms of denial of the subject in face of reality. Therefore, the text discusses the differences between the significant and the letter in the work of J. Lacan. The use Lacan made of language is compared with the definition of language, according to linguistics. Finally, a reflection is made about the proper name and the place of madness concerning the letter.

Laço social na psicose: impasses e possibilidades

The present article seeks to explore the grave difficulties and possibilities of social bonding in psychosis. What stands out is the sacrifice dimension - concerning, in Freud, the drive and, in Lacan, the jouissance - as a condition for the establishment of a social bond which origins is traced back to the overcoming of the primal horde through the primordial crime. The Name-of-the-Father signifier inscribes such an event in the psyche and is forclosed in psychosis, which creates a grave difficulty in creating a social bond. However, the bet is that there is no impossibility, as it is shown in the excerpts of a clinical case in which the subject makes use of an invention that allows him to exteriorize the jouissance, hence promoting a certain possibility of establishing a social bond.

Laço social, temporalidade e discurso: do Totem e tabu ao discurso capitalista

Social bond, temporality and discourse: from Totem and taboo to the capitalist discourse. In order to reflect on certain contemporary peculiarities of the social bond, the logical temporality at stake regarding the social bond is addressed from an articulation between the Freudian myth of Totem and taboo and the Lacanian sophism The logical time and the assertion of anticipated certainty, highlighting the need of a temporal scansion with significant function to establish the social bond. The mutation of the masters discourse into the capitalist discourse cunningly makes the significant scansion avoid the impossible and the impotence levels, as much as the separation imposed by the bar, directly tying S1 to S2, affecting the logical temporality and, consequently, the social bond.
