This paper aims at discussing anorexia and its predominant incidence among young women, drawing out some indications for psychoanalytical treatment from the experience theorization. Anorexia as a contemporary symptom is discussed and the hypothesis of a parity strategy between the genders is examined. The anorectic response is articulated to the problematic of sexuation in Jacques Lacans teaching. Such response is circumscribed in the impasse related to the nonexistence of the womens universality. Based on a case fragment, an interrogation is made upon the maneuver to establish an exception on the womans side of the gender division and the anguish function in this clinic is indicated.

The paper discusses aspects of internationalization policies pertaining to research and postgraduate training programs in Brazilian psychology. Indicators from eight areas of knowledge, used by CAPES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education) to assess the level of internationalization of the postgraduate programs, are presented to support the arguments. The authors contend that: a) internationalization is not a theme limited to the strict framework of science and technology, requiring knowledge of cultural, educational, economic and political aspects; b) different axioms and rules apply to different areas of knowledge; c) collaboration with researchers from different centers can be more beneficial than focusing only on publishing in foreign periodicals; d) coordination and collaboration between researchers does not require alignment of national research agenda to the standards of foreign research centers. Indeed, internationalization is recognized and is rapidly developing in academic institutions and support agencies. In this process, challenges are presented to postgraduate programs: a) to ensure that communication extrapolates the limit of the Portuguese language and is in the language appropriate to the context of the student/researcher; b) to reduce bureaucratic obstacles that hinder cooperation in Brazilian universities; c) to support arrangements and policies that facilitate joint funding proposals with other countries that benefit Brazilian science and technology.

The purpose of this article is to raise questions on the emergence of memories and to situate them vis-a-vis the psychoanalytical operation. Links are established among the limits to which the analysis of the concealing event leads and the structurally incomplete nature of memory. The article therefore attempts to demonstrate that in the Freudian metapsychology of memory there is an extra-mnemic functional element beyond recollections found in the form of das Ding, which cannot be assimilated as a memory and must therefore be buried by the formation of remembered images.

The voice in the psychoanalytic experience. The present work deals with the voice in its dimension of superegoic imperative and of pulsional object in the psychoanalytic experience. It starts with the voice of moral conscience that S. Freud assimilated to the superego, it examines the jouisance imperative and it sets the vocal object. With J. Lacan, it follows a route that goes from the voice of the law to the unreasonable law in order to get at the real. To situate the presence of the voice object, it uses an interview with an opera director, a screen of a visual artist that updates the mythological narrative and the psychoanalytic clinics in its variety of subjective positions.

This article discusses the symptom of phobia in psychoanalytic terms and the question of how sexuality functions in the formation of phobic symptoms, that is, between the imaginary effects of love and the fields of enjoyment and desire. Based on the premise that the phallus symbolizes an irreducible lack, phobia is considered a response by the subject entrenched between love in flight and the encounter with jouissance. The case of Little Hans positioned phobia as a response to the dissymmetry of love and the insistence of the drives.
