Variant assessment of exploitation policy of selected companies managing technical network systems

The article presents the practical conditions of the implementation of the taxonomic method for assessing the exploitation policy, developed by the author and described in the article entitled Methodology of variant assessment of exploitation policy using numerical taxonomy tools (Management Systems in Production Engineering no 2(18)/2015) [19]. In the first part of the article, the elaborated (by the author) methodology has been verified on the basis of maintenance data of three companies, that manage technical network systems (water supply system, sewage system, heating system). The second part of the article includes interpretation of the findings of assessment of exploitation policy of analyzed technical network systems, as well as indications of possible proceedings into studied companies, in the field of maintenance works realization. SmartMaintenance - The Concept of Supporting the Exploitation Decision-Making Process in the Selected Technical Network System

The article presents the SmartMaintenance concept, as a basis for the development of intelligent solutions that support exploitation activities. On the background of the main guidelines of the SmartMaintenance concept, as well as taking the principle of an open architecture, there was described the main components of a computer system supporting exploitation decision-making process. The last part of the article is the SMOPE module, which has been developed by the author. SMOPE complying with the requirements of the SmartMaintenance concept, supports the realization of the exploitation decision-making process of the selected technical network system.

Technical Infrastructure of “Smart City”: Needs of Integrating Various Management Tasks

Abstract In the article the idea of the “Smart City” is analysed mainly from the view point of technology. The author presents in the first part of the paper the brief review of technical issues connected with implementing the concept of “Smart City” into practice. These review is illustrated in the second part of the paper by some practical results, which are treated as a background for formulating a research problem which is tried to be presented in the third part of the paper: the problem of recognizing needs in the complex field of activities, assessing these needs and - basing on results of such an assessment - designing some integrated solutions that should be used in management of the identified resources. The final part of the paper contains some conclusions and introduces directions for further research.

The Use of Neural Network Model in the Assessment of Annoyance of the Industrial Noise Sources

In this article, there was made an attempt to use artificial intelligence methods in the assessment of industrial noise annoyance. There was discussed the research carried out under laboratory conditions and with using the calculation formulas. The results of the use of the neural network model, for the selected variables are more satisfactory, in the context of the methods used. One of the advantages of the presented approach is the possibility of predicting the assessment of noise annoyance for different values against input parameters.
