Sobre metodología de gramática histórica del español: a propósito de una obra reciente

Contributions to Spanish historical morphology are used to dealing with many descriptive issues, but they generally lack methodological considerations. This was not the case with other components of historical grammar such as the phonological and the lexical ones. However morphology, perhaps because of its semiproductive character and the irregularity of its paradigms, has been conceived of as a sample of unrelated data. This paper aims to consider the paradigmatic proposals that have been recently made by Joel Rini putting them in the methodological context of current research on grammaticalization in general linguistics.

La escuela española de estilística y la pragmaestilística

The so-called «Spanish stylistic school», and specially pioneer linguists of this group as Amado Alonso and Damaso Alonso, is presented in this article as a precedent of modern pragmastylistics in some interesting aspects. Nevertheless, as Lopez Garcia states, later authors –often considered members of this school– mainly devoted themselves of literary theory, far from the prior epistemological framework.

UNA VISIÓN INTEGRADA DEL DIASISTEMA FONOLÓGICO CATALÁN

This paper describes the phonological inventor of Catalan system under the conditions established by a set of abstract structures deductively obtained. It is supposed that a natural language uses as many phonological features as archiphonemes we need postulate for it, and by doing so, each phoneme can be caracterized by only two features. No matter its methodological complexity, such a procedure solves some classical problems of Catalan phonology, especially those of neutral vowel, sibilant clusters, and glides.
