The objective of this paper is to understand, describe and explore the skills and/or practices used in the exercise of management leadership related to good educational practices in inclusion-oriented educational centers. Based on research designed for case studies, the perceptions of the Directors, management teams and educational professionals from three educational institutions of Obligatory Secondary Education in Spain are analyzed, each one having been selected for their specific characteristics. The techniques used for the collection of information were documental analysis, in-depth interviews and discussion groups. Among the findings, the authors highlight the importance of leadership skills with regard to the promotion of cultural inclusion based on the assumptions, principals, beliefs and values linked to the pedagogical actions of the educational center.

Calidad de vida en niños pequeños portadores de un implante coclear

This article describes a study conducted in an Andalusia Community school (year 2010-2011). It studied the influence of cochlear implantation on improving the quality of life of the children who received implants during their early years. The methodological design and results of the study are also presented, in order to find a better solution to improve the life conditions and personal development of children suffering hearing loss, and having a cochlear implant.
