Trombidium telletxeae n. sp. is described from a larva parasitic on Odontothrips sp. (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) from Turkey. Grandjeanella multisetosa Zhang & Goldarazena is also reported for the first time in Turkey. A host list for ectoparasitic larval mites on thrips in Turkey is presented.

Abstract Erythraeus (Erythraeus) garmsaricus sp. nov. and E. (E.) hypertrichotus sp. nov. are described and illustrated from Garmsar (Semnan province) and Tabriz (East Azarbaijan province), Iran, respectively. A key to species of the subgenus Erythraeus with short anteromedian setae (AM) of the world (larva) is provided. Also differential diagnoses of this group are discussed.

Abstract The genus Paradactylidium is revised. The type species, P. micrangulatum is redescribed, and anew species, P. oconnori, is described from specimens collected from old field litter associated with the nests of the vole, Microtus pennsylvanicus, in Ithaca, New York, USA.

Abstract The ectoparasitic mites of thrips in the Mediterranean area of Navarra (Northern Spain) are reported. The seasonal abundance of Grandjeanella multisetosa Zhang and Goldarazena is given. A list of thrip hosts with rates of parasitism of both mites, Abrolophus neobrevicollis and G. multisetosa (Erythraeidae) is also presented.

Abstract In this note we report on the seasonal abundance of Abrolophus neobrevicollis Zhang & Goldarazena parasitic on Thrips trehernei Priesner in a meadow located in the Basque Country (Northern Spain). We also provide a list of thrips hosts of A. neobrevicollis and other species ectoparasitic on thrips captured in different habitats in the Basque Country.

Abstract Adult females of two new species, Adactylidium moundi sp. nov. and A. costarricensis sp.nov., are described in this paper. A list of thrips hosts of both species and a key to adult females of Adactylidium are provided.

Abstract The trombidiid mite, Paratrombium welbourni Goldarazena and Zhang, 1997, and the erythraeid mite, Grandjeanella haitlingeri Goldarazena and Zhang, 1997b, in the Mediterranean region of Navarra-Nafarroa (Northern Spain) are discussed. New hosts and biometrical information of these mites are provided. Published records of larval Paratrombium and Grandjeanella are reviewed.

In this paper we report on the seasonal abundance of velvet mite larvae of Allothrombium pulvinum Ewing and Allothrombium monochaetum Goldarazena and Zhang in a meadow located in the mediterranean Navarra-Nafarroa region (northern Spain). Larvae of A. monochaetum peaked in numbers on Aphis fabae in mid-June while larvae of A. pulvinum peaked in the third week of July. Both species preferred the aphid thorax as attachment site. We also provide a list of aphid hosts of both mites and observed density of parasites on the hosts.
