Analyst reports are confirming that adoption of SOA is growing; the actual goal of SOA is to help align IT capabilities with business goals. In today’s competitive scenario where business demand changes very frequently, the expectation from technology is raised to level where we are expecting the business processes are developed in such a manner that they can adapt the frequent changes without affecting the overall organization business architecture. Thus the need to assume business processes as a smart services that can be loosely coupled. Thus need of service oriented architecture arises. This paper is a review of articles and research work that have undergone in the past 1 decade (i.e. from 2001 - 2011). The source of data is from most prestigious journal and website covering area of SOA, In this paper we have identified the factors that are relevant to SOA implementation and up to how much extents each factor is crucial to SOA implementation is also identified.

Over the past decade a significant growth in software applications that are delivered in the form of services utilising the network infrastructure is witnessed and observed. Both SOA and cloud deals with delivering services to business with improved agility, increased speed and reduced cost that can lead to greater innovation and effective returns on investment. In this work, we proposed an architecture that uses SOA principles and focus how architectural context support the use of cloud computing. We proposed that service-oriented systems and cloud computing can be cross-vertically integrated, agile, ad-hoc and reconfigurable in an autonomic and on-demand manner. Further, this capability of integration can be utilised with the agreed benefit of cloud architecture and can be utilised to provide a business solution in the form of architecture to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

This paper articulates a way of using unified modelling language (UML) to develop SCM, CRM and other business value chain activities for any SME, our focus is to emphasize on the interfaces of systems. The results show that the UML was useful in the development of information systems. The main objective of this work is to create a functional service-oriented system for ERP, CRM and SCM to share its own services (functionalities) to each other within an application domain.

As the ERP software market has been growing at a very fast pace over the last several years and has been predicted to keep growing rapidly, but at the same time Implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software in a global environment faces a several key challenges. E.g. business processes are to be reengineered to align with the ERP software best practices, technical architecture and infrastructure needs to be in place globally as per specifications of the packaged software, integration of extended enterprise services in terms of ERP, CRM, SCM, Business intelligence systems, etc., are some of key challenges which an organizations face to implement such global solutions. Besides all these, critical success factors like users involvement, time and budget constraints, vendor performance, etc. are other side of implementation process. In this paper, authors had reviewed key technical and implementation issues faced in ERP implementation, how to resolve them and .finally a framework is proposed for overall ERP system implementation and design of program management, which contributes to the success of such complex and global solutions This framework is designed to facilitate small and medium level companies to implement ERP system of there own.
