Marketing Management Elements

Mihnea Costoiu; Adrian Ioana; Augustin Semenescu; Dragos Marcu

The article takes as a starting point several complementary definitions of marketing. Also present several key points related to marketing policy: defining the position that the company will occupy on the market with respect to competition, fixing the image with what will approach the market, achieving a balance between turnover rates profit and expenses as a condition for the survival of the company. In below article it is proposed an original concept of marketing management. This concept takes into consideration on the one hand correlations between company position in the market definition and on the other hand the image received by customers. The ultimate goal of this original concept of marketing management is to ensure an effective balance between: the turnover rate of profit and expenses of the company.

In this research work, the synthesis of Ag doped hydroxyapatite coatings for dental or orthopedic implants was performed. The main goal was to determine the influence of Ag content on the roughness and antimicrobial performance of the prepared thin films. The films were deposited on Ti6Al4V alloy by means of RF magnetron sputtering. Those coatings were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and 3D surface profilometry. The antifungal activity after 1 and 7days of culture was evaluated in the presence of Candida albicans (ATCC - 10231). The increase of Ag content increased roughness and reduced the antifungal activity. The results showed that the Ag doped hydroxyapatite coatings can be a potential solution for the improvement of the antifungal activities of Ti based alloy.

Effect of Calcium Content on the Microstructure and Degradation of Mg-Ca Binary Alloys Potentially Used as Orthopedic Biomaterials

Ana Iulia Blajan; Florin Miculescu; Mihai Cosmin Cotruț; Augustin Semenescu; Vasile Iulian Antoniac

The effect of calcium addition in modifying the microstructural aspects and corrosion behavior was investigated on two different biodegradable magnesium alloys type Mg-xCa binary alloys (x = 0.8, 1.8 wt. (%)). Systematic microstructure investigations was made using optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray. Following these experimental investigations, in the microstructure of the investigated Mg-Ca alloys a notable refinement was observed occurred with increasing the calcium content. The evaluation of corrosion resistance was performed both using electrochemical measurements and hydrogen release in simulated body fluid (SBF), as proposed by Kokubo and his colleagues, maintaining the temperature at 37°C. The results showed a lower corrosion resistance when the calcium content was increased, due to the increased Mg2Ca intermetallic phase in grain boundaries. Consequently, our preliminary results showed that MgCa0.8 alloy having a minimal amount of Mg2Ca appear to be a promising alloy to be used as a biomaterial for orthopedic implants.

Management elements for the spatial organization of enterprises from the metallic materials industry

Mihnea Costoiu; Adrian Ioana; Augustin Semenescu; Dragos Marcu; Massimo Polifroni

The spatial organization of enterprises is of great importance for the metallic materials industry (metallurgy), given the diversity and complexity of the technological processes and the related equipment. In an enterprise from the metallic materials industry, there may be sections for: production, casting, forging, mechanical (hot and / or cold) processing, assembly etc. for the different stages of the technological process related to the products to be made. The article presents theoretical and practical elements regarding the management of the spatial organization of enterprises in the metallic materials industry. The principles and methods of spatial organization are presented and analyzed. These principles and methods are based on the biunivocal relation between the functional and constructive changes related to the technologies and equipment (machinery, aggregates) specific to the metallic material industry. Prescribing (establishing) the objective function (OF) of the technological processes modeling system in the metallic materials industry is based on the qualitative economic analysis of these processes.

The E-Government Role in the Future of Jobs in Accounting and in Auditing: A Theoretical Proposal Applied to the Italian Public Sector

Massimo Pollifroni; Gheorghe Militaru; Adrian Ioana; Augustin Semenescu

The article attempts to outline possible future developments in the field of the public accounting and auditing professions resulting from the present e-government processes, which dates back to the early 2000s. This change has an untapped potential that could have a profound effect in many areas, such as the rationalization of public spending, business ethics, and university education to new professions required by the future labor market. It should be noted also that the future change of labor is a generalist issue proposed in many prestigious international researches: the paper seeks to make a contribution specifically oriented to the field of accounting and auditing professions applied to the public sector. After a methodological premise of systematization of the related topics of reference – whose origins can be traced back to the New Public Management Theory – the theoretical approach of the contribution will try to develop some Italian real implications regarding the change under study.

Elements of the electric arc furnace’s environmental management

Adrian Ioana; Augustin Semenescu; Mihnea Costoiu; Dragos Marcu

The paper presents a theoretical and experimental analysis of the polluting generating mechanisms for steel making in the Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF). The scheme for the environment’s polluting system through the EAF is designed and presented in this paper. The ecological experimenting consisted of determining by specialized measures of the dust percentage in the evacuated gases from the EAF and of thereof gas pollutants. From the point of view of reducing the impact on the environment, the main problem of the electric arc furnace (EAF) is the optimization of the powder collecting from the process gases, both from the furnace and from the work-area. The paper deals with the best dependence between the aggregate’s constructive, functional and technological factors, which are necessary for the furnace’s ecologization and for its energetically-technologically performances increasing. The paper presents a theoretical and experimental analysis of the polluting generating mechanisms for steel making in the Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF). Elements of the quality management in the materials’ industry

Adrian Ioana; Augustin Semenescu; Mihnea Costoiu; Dragos Marcu

The criteria function concept consists of transforming the criteria function (CF) in a quality-economical matrix math MQE. The levels of prescribing the criteria function was obtained by using a composition algorithm for three vectors: T vector – technical parameters’ vector (ti); Ē vector – economical parameters’ vector (ej) and P vector – weight vector (p1). For each product or service, the area of the circle represents the value of its sales. The BCG Matrix thus offers a very useful map of the organization’s service strengths and weaknesses, at least in terms of current profitability, as well as the likely cash flows.

About the Concept of the Environment Recycling—Energy (ERE) in the Romanian Steel Industry

Adrian Ioana; Augustin Semenescu

This paper takes as its starting point an analysis of the ecological functioning of the electric arc furnace (EAF). Thus, we present a classification of emissions generated by EAF, including limits of variation in chemical composition of “dust” issued by EAF in various countries and limit values for permissible concentrations of these emissions. The paper presents and analyzes various abstraction and treatment-related emissions for hipo-polluting operation of EAF. In this chapter, the correlations between macro system represented by metallurgical environment and interacting systems: System-EnergyRecycling Environment (ERE), Ecological system (ECO), and Recycling, Reclamation System (REC-REV) are presented. These correlations are presented in the spirit of sustainable development concepts (DC) and total quality (TQ).

Hydrogen Evolution Analyzed on Various Magnesium Alloys

Ana Iulia Bita; Augustin Semenescu; Aurora Antoniac; Iulian Vasile Antoniac

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the biodegradability of some magnesium alloys, different both from the point of view of chemical composition and different system (Mg-Ca, Mg-Zn-Ag). Microstructural characteristics of experimental magnesium alloys were investigated using optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray. The hydrogen evolution was analyzed using the method proposed by Song. The assessment was made through the evaluation of hydrogen released rate in simulated body fluid (SBF) as proposed by Kokubo and his colleagues, maintaining the temperature at 37 °C, for 240 hours. The studied samples showed different degradation rates depending on the chemical composition of magnesium based alloys and function of immersion time.
