Energy-dependent complex-scale-dimension poles in Coulomb scattering

Without making any reference to angular momentum quantum number l, we show that the Coulomb scattering amplitude has poles in the scale-dimension plane which move with energy.

Is the 1 D 2 level of charmonium really found

Using the charmonium model with relativistic corrections, we argue that χ(3.45) is more likely to be η c rather than 1 D 2 as conjectured by Harari. D ∗ -D and F ∗ -F mass differences have also been calculated using Henrique et al.s scalar-exchange model and are found to be in good agreement with experiment.

Spin structure of the quark-confining potential

It is shown that the detection of the /sup 1/P/sub 1/ (1/sup + -/) level of charmonium can decide the nature of the spin-dependent forces generated by the quark-confining potential. The arguments are more or less independent of the form of the confining potential.
