Las Visitas Técnicas a Empresas como parte del Proceso de Enseñanza-Aprendizaje en Ingeniería Mecánica

In this paper a teaching-learning program named Visit Business Recognition is discussed and analyzed. The program was initiated to provide an opportunity to students of Mechanical Engineering of the Positivo University in Brazil, for complementing the theoretical and practical subjects covered in class. This article shows the program features and discusses the results of such technical visits, using data collected through questionnaires applied to the participating students, after the visits. One of the main results was a more motivated and better student performance. The students return with more confidence in their learning process, and recognize the importance of the visits. This form of educational tourism represents a complementary alternative to traditional teaching systems in our universities.

A Game Theory Approach Using Excel

Understanding the behavior of companies in market conditions has been an important topic of studies for the economists and mathematicians. Many companies have treated their relationship of service providers as a game. Thus, the attitudes of the players can be endowed with rational thinking, which leads to the conclusion that the use of game theory as a tool to understand such behavior is of great importance. Based on the previous studies, this paper presents a study on the cooperative game theory, discussing the Nash equilibrium in pure and mixed strategies, treating solutions using the minimax John Von Neumann theorem and illustrating a mathematical modeling of a game theory problem. Furthermore, a solution of linear programming using Microsoft Excel is also proposed and presented. The methodology adopted to model the problem may help students to familiarize themselves to game theory.

Modelagem em excel para o problema de alocação de custos conjunta utilizando o valor de shapley

Este trabalho explora um estudo de coalizoes para a tomada de decisao na divisao de custos conjunta. Para isto, e utilizada a metodologia denominada Valor de Shapley (encontrada na literatura como uma aplicacao da Teoria dos Jogos) para encontrar uma decisao de divisao dos custos (podendo ser rateio de lucros). Neste texto esta ilustrado um exemplo numerico e sua solucao obtida a partir da modelagem empregando a planilha eletronica Microsoft Excel e a ferramenta de otimizacao solver.
