I2-TBHP-catalyzed one-pot highly efficient synthesis of 4,3-fused 1,2,4-triazoles from N-tosylhydrazones and aromatic N-heterocycles via intermolecular formal 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition

I2-TBHP-catalyzed azomethine imine generation and subsequent regioselective 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition (DC) with aromatic N-heterocycles was developed to afford various 4,3-fused 1,2,4-triazoles in excellent yields. The method is operationally simple and highly efficient with broad functional group tolerance.

A CONVENIENT AND SELECTIVE METHOD FOR PREPARATION OF ENOL ACETATES FROM KETONES USING MONTMORILLONITE KSF CLAY

ABSTRACT The reaction of ketones with stoichiometric amounts of acetic anhydride and Montmorillonite KSF clay at room temperature afforded the corresponding enol acetates in excellent yields. It has also been observed that by performing the reactions under microwave irradiation the reaction time can be dramatically reduced.

Highly efficient one-pot synthesis of fused pyrimidones from 2-heteroaryl amines and Morita–Baylis–Hillman carbonates via intermolecular cyclocondensation

Abstract A highly selective and efficient cyclocondensation reaction for construction of various 3-substituted-2H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-2-ones and related fused pyrimidones from allylic carbonates and 2-heteroaryl amines has been developed. The transformation involves one-pot sequential aza-Michael addition, intramolecular acyl substitution, and [1,3]-H shift. The method is catalyst free, eco-friendly, scalable, and completes within a short reaction time, with no work-up, no column purification, and demonstrate a broad functional group tolerance.
