Fuzzy tool for customer satisfaction analysis in CRM systems

Bogdan Walek

Nowadays, the concept of CRM systems is very popular. Important aspect of CRM system is customer satisfaction analysis which evaluates customer preferences using questionnaire survey. Currently, there are two main approaches for customer satisfaction analysis. Rough set approach uses decision rules for evaluation of customer preferences. Based on this approach the fuzzy tool for customer analysis is proposed. Fuzzy tool consists of expert system with knowledge base and evaluates questionnaire answers collected from customers. Evaluated results of customer satisfaction analysis are processed and visualized. The proposed fuzzy tool is verified on specific example.

Fuzzy tool for conceptual modeling under uncertainty

Bogdan Walek; Cyril Klimes

This paper deals with the design of fuzzy tool for creating conceptual model under uncertainty. The paper identifies a problem in current approach of creating conceptual model of information system and suggests new methodics and tool for creating conceptual model, which can processes uncertain user requirements. The proposed tool uses a general model of the decision support system, that works with the vague input values and IF-THEN fuzzy rules, and creates a list of appropriate and acceptable solutions, and then allows to choose the best solution. In the proposed tool entities, attributes and relations between entitites in the resulting conceptual model are selected via a decision support system. In the paper we present six main parts of proposed tool, that generates suitable entities, attributes and relations between entities, then generates them to XML format and finally visualizes the resulting conceptual model. The created conceptual model illustrates the analysis of information system requirements. The proposed tool is shown on creating conceptual model of the hotel information system.

Proposal of an Expert System for Predicting Warehouse Stock

Bogdan Walek; Radim Farana

Currently, the area of stone-store sale requires a suitable solution how to solve the issue of warehouse stock as well as the process of purchasing. This paper proposes an expert system which takes into consideration past periods and various impacts on sales and subsequently proposes how much goods should be ordered for the next period. Individual steps and parts of the expert system are described in the paper. The proposed expert system is verified on a particular example.

EXPERT SYSTEM FOR SELECTION OF SUITABLE JOB APPLICANTS

Bogdan Walek; Jiří Bartoš

Every company occasionally deals with the problem of hiring new staff. The issue of selecting of a suitable candidate for a job is often very complicated and many criteria enter the selection and hiring process. This paper proposes an expert system for the selection of the most suitable applicants for employment. A part of the proposed approach is the definition of criteria for selection of suitable applicants and lining to the database of all applicants. Furthermore, this paper introduces each part of the proposed expert system and all the steps are verified on a specific example.

A methodology for testing of information system under uncertainty

Jiri Bartos; Bogdan Walek

Current approach to testing of an information system/application and its results lacks the informative value that could evaluate the system in a more complex manner. This article follows already published part of research and enables complex qualitative testing of an information system conducted by multiple testers or multiple repetitive testing tasks.

Proposal of the Web Application for Selection of Suitable Job Applicants Using Expert System

Bogdan Walek; Ondrej Pektor; Radim Farana

Every company sometimes recruits new employees. Selecting suitable job applicants is often very complicated and there are many criteria which enter the hiring process. The paper proposes a web application for selection of suitable job applicants. An important part of the proposed web application is an expert system, which propose suitable job applicants based on their hard and soft skills and process of the job interview. We also suggest a structure of a database of job positions and a method for comparing job position requirements with job applicant’s skills and evaluating suitability of job applicant due to job position requirements.

Fuzzy Tool for Proposal of Suitable Products in Online Store and CRM System

Bogdan Walek; Jiří Bartoš; Radim Farana

Nowadays, people often encounter a wide range of products that are suitable for them. Offers of suitable products are created based on people’s buying preferences and previous purchases. In the area of CRM systems it is possible, and usually necessary, to design suitable products for customers. In this paper, a fuzzy tool connected with an expert system to design suitable products for customers within CRM system is proposed. All the main steps of the proposed procedure are described in this article.

A Tool for Database Testing and Optimization

Bogdan Walek; Cyril Klimes

Abstract—The article deals with testing database against original requirements for its creation. Currently there are several tools for unit database testing, testing stored procedures and functions in database or performance and load testing of relational database. But there is no tool for testing logical model of the relational database against requirements for its creation. In the paper we propose a tool for testing logical model of the implemented database against original requirements for its creation. Proposed tool uses XML document for representation of the requiremensts and JDBC methods for loading logical model of the implemented database. Outputs of the proposed tool are tables with comparison of entities and tables, attributes and relationships. Finally, the tool generates possible database optimization proposals based on the tool ś outputs. At the end of the article proposed tool is shown on testing database of the university information system and possible optimization proposals for this database are suggested.

A comprehensive adaptive system for e-learning of foreign languages

Vladimir Bradac; Bogdan Walek

Abstract The article presents a proposal, design and implementation of a new approach to adaptive e-learning systems. First, a proposal of a model is presented. This model aims at introducing adaptivity to current e-learning systems, which are rigid and limited in offering a truly personalised learning to individual students. Many of current e-learning systems enable personalised learning. However, in this paper, there is a new, innovative approach proposed for an adaptive personalised e-learning system. The primary area of our research is English as a second language (ESL). Adaptivity in our view is considered as an ability of the system to adapt to students knowledge and characteristics. This pedagogical perspective requires introduction of such processes that enable to work the pedagogical aspects of teaching/learning. The required processes are of informatics nature. The proposed model was subsequently designed into a real application. Finally, the application was implemented and verified on a real data set. The results are also provided.

Expert System for Evaluating Teachers in E-Learning Systems

Bogdan Walek; Radim Farana

This paper deals with a fuzzy expert system for evaluating teachers in e-learning. The special fuzzy expert system for evaluating teacher using satisfaction questionnaire with evaluative linguistic expressions and separate knowledge bases of expert system is proposed. Proposed expert system was created using Linguistic Fuzzy Logic Controller. In the proposed fuzzy expert system the theory of Natural Fuzzy Logic is applied.
