Topraktan ve Yapraktan Çinko Uygulamalarının Marul (Lactuca sativa L.)Bitkisinin Gelişmesi ve Bazı Mineral Madde Kapsamı Üzerine Etkisi

In recent years, symptoms showing Zn deficiency have increased in many plant varieties. The lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is a crop sensitive especially to Zn deficiency. The present study, therefore, has been conducted to determine the effect of Zinc applications on the vegetative development parameters of lettuce plant and some mineral substance content. Zinc in the form of ZnSO4.7H2O was applied from the soil and leaves to the pots. The soil applications were ZnTo=0; ZnT1=10ppm; ZnT2=20ppm and ZnT3=30ppm. The foliar applications as three times were ZnYo=0; ZnY1= %0.10; ZnY2=%0.20 and ZnY3=%0.30. Consequently, significant differences were found regarding vegetative development parameters (head length, leaf number, head fresh weight, dry weight) and N, P, K and Zn contents of the leaf. In both soil and foliar applications, ZnT2, ZnY2 levels can be recommended for development parameters and Zn content of lettuce plant, and ZnT1, ZnY1 levels with regard to N and K content
