The male of the type species, Axonchium (Axonchium) amplicolle Cobb, 1920 is reported for the first time along with the descriptions of two new species belonging to the genus and subgenus Axonchium Cobb, 1920 from Manipur, India. Axonchium (Axonchium) thoubalicum n. sp. is 1.59-1.65 mm long and resembles A. (A. ) heynsi and A. (A.) transkeiense but differs in having a smaller odontostyle and odontophore, in the shape of vagina and uterus, in having a shorter pre-rectum, in the smaller size and shape of spicules and lateral guiding pieces and in having a longer tail. Axonchium (Axonchium) eletum n. sp. is 1.43-1.68 mm long and resembles A. (A.) saccatum and A. (A.) elegans but differs in the shape of vagina, spicules, lateral guiding pieces, and in having a greater number of ventro-median supplements.

A new genus, Imphalenchus, and a new species Cephalenchus lobus of the family Tylenchidae Orley, 1880 are described from Manipur, India. Imphalenchus indicus n. gen., n. sp. has slender body, four incisures in the lateral fields, long attenuated spear almost equal to the length of procorpus, isthmus long and narrow, basal bulb large, cardia present, female reproductive system mono-prodelphic, vulval flaps large, and long filiform tails in both sexes. Cephalenchus lobus n. sp. is distinctive because of the overlapping oesophageal glands. It also has a slender body, six incisures in the lateral fields, attenuated spear, small procorpus but a long isthmus, female reproductive system mono-prodelphic, small vulval flaps, and long filiform tails in both sexes.

Dorylaimus thienemanni Schneider, 1937 which was moved to the genus Thornenema by Andrassy (1959) is now transferred to the genus Dorylaimoides based on the study of a female juvenile from the original type material. Thornenema thienemanni apud Jairajpuri, 1966 is not conspecific with Dorylaimoides thienemanni (Schneider, 1937) n. comb. and is accordingly renamed Thornenema loofi n. sp. A table giving comparative measurements of species related to T. loofi n. sp. and a key to species of the genus Thornenema have been provided.

Phallaxonchium parvulum n. sp. which closely resembles the type species P. altenuatum Jairajpuri & Dhanachand, 1979 is described from Manipur, India. It has a smaller body, differently shaped lip region, smaller odontostyle and odontophore, longer oesophagus, smaller anterior uterine sac, prerectum and spicules, and smaller and slightly differently shaped tail of the first stage juveniles. The male of Axonchium (Axonchium) nitidum Jairajpuri, 1964 is reported for the first time.

T. caudatum n. sp. differs from T. thienemanni apud Jairajpuri, 1966 in having more posterior vulva and in the shape of the tail. T. longicaudatum n. sp. also comes very close to T. thienemanni and T. caudatum n. sp. but differs from both in having a very long tail.
