TWO NEW SPECIES OF SALDIDAE FROM SOUTH AFRICA (HEMIPTERA: SALDIDAE)

The present paper is based upon shorebugs of the Family Saldidae, collected by Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Stuckenberg in South Africa. This collection contains three species, two of which are described herein as new. The types of the new species are in the Natal Museum. The illustrations were made by Mrs. Patricia J. Hogue of Arlington, Virginia.

TINGIDAE FROM SOUTH AFRICA (HEMIPTERA)

The present paper is based entirely upon a small collection of Tingidae netted by Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Stuckenberg in South Africa. This collection of eight species includes two forms described below as new species. The types are deposited in the Natal Museum. The illustrations were made by Mrs. Patricia J. Hogue, of Arlington, Virginia.

Through the kindness of Dr. P. J. Darlington, Museum o2 Comparative Zoology (Harvard), the writers have been permitted to study some undetermined semiaquatic Hemiptera 2rom widely separated areas o the world. The present paper contains the description of a new genus and new species of shore bug ound on the beach of a small lake at an elevation of nearly 3,000 meters in the lofty Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, northern South America. The unit o.f measure is such that the ormulas may be converted into millimeters by dividing by 80. The authors are indebted to Mrs. R. E. Froeschner for the illustration of the ype.
