The post-industrial landscapes of Riotinto and Almadén, Spain: scenic value, heritage and sustainable tourism

ABSTRACTThe Riotinto and Almaden mining areas in Spain are two of the best examples of European experiences in restoring the heritage of traditional mining activities. Situación actual del sector energético en España

La energia es un sector clave de la economia espanola y esta presente en todos los procesos productivos. El articulo analiza al sector en los ultimos anos con datos procedentes de varios organismos publicos, referidos tanto al balance energetico general como a los sectores energeticos, las energias renovables, la politica energetica y las relaciones entre energia y medio ambiente. Caracteristicas basicas del sector en nuestro pais son el incremento del consumo de energia, la progresiva liberalizacion y las grandes inversiones en energias renovables, sobre todo la eolica. Energy is a key sector of the Spanish economy and it is in all productivo processes. This article analyses the sector in the last fewyears with data from some public agencies, referred to the power balance as well as to nuclear power, coal, oil, natural gas, renewable energies, power policy and the relationship between energy and environment. The main eatures of energy in Spain are the increase of consumption, the growing liberation and the big investments in renewable energies, above all the eolic one.
