A abordagem do conceito como uma estrutura semiótica

O presente trabalho parte da consideracao de que qualquer pratica informacional possui uma estruturacao queviabiliza a transferencia da informacao e a sua efetivacao enquanto conhecimento. E essa efetivacao realiza-se apartir da estruturacao e uso de conceitos. Considerando-se que essa estruturacao se da no nivel discursivo decada comunidade informacional, utiliza-se a nocao de discurso fundada em Foucault (1996). Para discutir atroca de informacao, utilizou-se dos aportes teoricos de Dalhberg (1978a,1978b); para a teoria do conceito, deCassirer (1977); Foucault (1992) e Gardin (1992), na discussao da representacao. Assim, a conceituacao ecompartilhamento das representacoes sociais fazem com que seja necessario o entendimento do papel dos conceitosdentro da formacao simbolica e discursiva, em um processo de transferencia da informacao em umadeterminada comunidade. Para tanto, discute-se a formacao e pratica do discurso, sob o ponto de vista da teoriasemiotica de Peirce (1977) e se propoe a analise da entidade conceito como estrutura semiotica.

The importance of a differentiated representation of information for Contemporary Art: Use of fruition as a classification attribute

The purpose of this study is to discuss information and art analyzing, through the representation of information, the role of Information Science. It is a discussion about the representation of information of Contemporary Art through the collaborative work among professionals. Information Science can contribute to the treatment and organization of information since it addresses the representation of information in different contexts and materials, reducing the complexity of these objects based on the possibility of abstraction and fruition. It includes a critical reflection based on artists’ books that are part of the Paraiba’s Center for Contemporary Art Collection. It was found that there is a tendency to homogenize the treatment of information of artworks through descriptive representation.Keywords: Artist’s books. Contemporary art. Information Science. A hemeroteca enquanto espaço documental, informacional e memorial

This paper presents the periodicals room and its usual activities and tries to understand contexts and processes involved in the building of information flows elaborated from such settings. Underlying this initial proposal, we intended to highlight the ethnotexts in a journalistic language anchored by ‘discourse formations’ and ‘discourses’, by Michel Foucault. In this process, the study aims at registering the theoretical basis on the role of periodicals rooms as a space for memory, preservation and access to knowledge, attempting to understand and evoke the way through which the information space was constituted in the past. Through the research, we were able to verify the importance of the collections of in periodicals rooms as a research source and of the latter as a place of memory.
