Análisis de la percepción de las competencias genéricas adquiridas en la Universidad.

The ability to adapt, knowing how to solve problems, or teamwork become needs that must be trained by university students to face with professions that are being transformed. In this article analyzes these skills, called generic competencies. The required information is obtained through the design of a questionnaire that was used in 628 personal interviews with students from first and second cycle of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The treatment of the data was conducted through a factorial analysis and structural equations modeling. The competencies were grouped in four factors called: methodological competencies, social, participatory and specialized. This results confirms the obtained in other models, and there seems to be a certain consensus in the typology of generic competencies existing. However, the methodological and specialized competencies are the most significant influence on the perception of the global competencies acquired by the students of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. However, there are differences between those students who combine studies and work, or just studying. The first think that the acquisition of the methodological and specialized competencies influences in a positive way in the global perception of the skills acquired at the UPV, in a negative way in the case of the participatory skills. While the seconds, they argue that the social skills are the most significant influence on the global perception with the competencies they acquired in the university. As well, the main conclusion of this work is the difference between students who have already been incorporated into the world of work, and those others who are only devote to study, in regard to the perception that have on the acquisition of generic skills in the university.

Estrategias de evaluación para las competencias transversales CT-02, CT-04 y CT-06

En esta innovacion educativa, pretendemos verificar las rubricas desarrolladas por la Universitat Politecnica de Valencia para las siguientes competencias transversales: CT-02 (Aplicacion y pensamiento practico), CT-04 (Innovacion, creatividad y emprendimiento) y CT-06 (Trabajo en equipo y liderazgo). Para ello, desarrollamos la misma metodologia en dos grupos con perfiles de estudiantes diferentes (Mananas/ARA). Los resultados de evaluacion de las competencias revelan que no hay diferencias significativas entre grupos. Como conclusion, podriamos decir que las rubricas son adecuadas para evaluar a todo tipo de estudiante.

Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos: resolución de conflictos reales de una empresa

Esta comunicacion surge de un Proyecto de Innovacion y Mejora Educativa en la Universitat Politecnica de Valencia implantado en el segundo cuatrimestre del curso 2014/15. El proyecto consiste en enfrentar a los alumnos a un conflicto real planteado por una empresa y que ellos propongan soluciones. Estas soluciones se desarrollan mediante la metodologia didactica del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP), herramienta muy util para desarrollar competencias transversales de todo tipo. En esta comunicacion se presentan los resultados de este proyecto. En concreto, el nivel del logro de las cuatro competencias transversales evaluadas: Aplicacion y pensamiento practico; Analisis y resolucion de problemas; Trabajo en equipo y liderazgo; Conocimiento de problemas contemporaneos. Se ha seguido un enfoque multidisciplinar aplicando el mismo procedimiento a cuatro asignaturas de titulaciones diferentes en la Universidad. Esto nos permitira encontrar diferencias en funcion de distintos perfiles de alumnos.
