Health information and youth: challenges in the internet age

Education is a key element in the prevention of diseases and it is especially important when it comes to helping citizens acquire healthy habits from their earliest age. The authors of this study analyse information on health topics for young people that is available on the Internet. We are aware that such initiatives have not merely an informative goal, but that it also has an educational and prophylactic purpose. We develop comprehensive research that examines information about health issues emitted by both public institutions and private groups or entities through web pages for youth. In addition, we carry out critical analysis of the criteria and objectives of those web sites. In this paper, we present a qualitative study based on the in-depth interviews which we conducted with a number of experts in order to obtain information through focused conversation.
