Perceptions of corporate social responsibility, organizational commitment and job satisfaction

Caroline Closon; Christophe Leys; Catherine Hellemans

Purpose – This paper aims to, first, investigate the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR)’s various dimensions on organizational commitment and job satisfaction, and, second, to examine the moderating role of employee expectations in this relationship. Studies have increasingly focused the attention on the links between perceptions of CSR and employees’ attitudes. However, a majority of studies do concentrate on internal CSR impact. La perception de la responsabilité sociale des Entreprises: adaptation et validation française de l'échelle de Maignan et Ferrell, 1999

Caroline Closon

This study proposes to apply the paradigm of Churchill in the case of the adaptation in french and validation of the Maignan and Ferrell scale (1999) based on the model developed by Carroll (1979). This model proposes to distinguish four principles of social responsibility: economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic responsibility. Four factors were highlighted in a first exploratory study conducted among 320 workers. This structure was confirmed during a second confirmatory investigation among 287others workers. If the four identified factors do not match exactly to the theoretical chosen model, they bring value to support the differences in social responsibility between the internal actors and external actors.

We try to examine the psychosocial determinants of single parenthood within a dynamic of territorial anchoring in order to introduce a new perspective regarding single parents’ trajectories and career counseling. Our hypotheses is We think that this social path takes root in a process of territorial anchoring which can exacerbate, or slow down, the emergence of certain health-related social vulnerability factors as well as their effects on the family unit itself. This note will focus on three aspects: the links between the social path and social/health vulnerability; to what extent this articulation activates or adds other factors of vulnerability such as precariousness, health problems, difficulty in work/non-work time management, lack of mobility; the psychosocial determinants of single parenthood and their fit Mini-review Article Lourel et al.; AIR, 4(4): 265-268, 2015; Article no.AIR.2015.081 266 within a dynamic of attachment to a neighborhood/municipality.
