Cu(OAc)2-Catalyzed N-Arylation of Sulfonamides with Arylboronic Acids or Trimethoxy(phenyl)silane

Changduo Pan; Jiang Cheng; Huayue Wu; Jinchang Ding; Miaochang Liu

Abstract Cu(OAc)2-catalyzed C-N bond-formation reaction of sulfonamides with organoboronic acids or trimethoxy(phenyl)silane was achieved in the presence of 20 mol% of Cu(OAc)2, providing N-arylation products with yields ranging from moderate to good.

Copper-Catalyzed Sequential Alkyl/Aryl or Vinyl Esterification of Dicarboxylic Acid Anhydrides with Alkoxysilanes

Fang Luo; Changduo Pan; Pengcheng Qian; Jiang Cheng

A copper(I)-catalyzed bis-esterification of cyclic anhydrides with aryl and vinyl alkoxysilanes is described, in which the alkoxy and aryl (or vinyl) esters of dicarboxylic acids were prepared in one pot with moderate to good yields. Notably, vinyl trimethoxysilanes also worked well with this procedure.

Iron-catalysed Sonogashira reactions

Changduo Pan; Fang Luo; Wenhui Wang; Zhi-Shi Ye; Miaochang Lieu

A catalytic system has been developed that used an iron/ligand combination for the Sonogashira cross coupling of terminal alkynes with aryl iodides, which affords products in good to excellent yields.

Rhodium-Catalyzed Dimerization of Diaryl Acetylenes in the Presence of Grignard Reagents: Synthesis of 1,2,3-Triphenyl Naphthalene Derivatives

Pengcheng Qian; Fan Chen; Changduo Pan

Abstract An efficient Rh-catalyzed dimerization of diaryl acetylenes was achieved in the presence of Wilkinson catalyst, AgF2, and 1.5 equivalent of PhMgBr in toluene, providing the 1,2,3-triaryl naphthalene derivatives in moderate to good yields. Palladium-catalyzed kumada reaction employing aminophosphine as ligand

Lin Zhang; Jiang Cheng; Weiwei Zhang; Baoda Lin; Changduo Pan; Jing Chen

Abstract In this article a palladium‐catalyzed Kumada reaction was reported. The procedure was mild and tolerated a series of aryl bromides, affording the biaryls in good to excellent yield.
