An in situ reaction under hydrothermal conditions leads to the formation of the title compound, diaqua(pyridine-2-carboxylato)(pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylato)indium(II) trihydrate, [In(C 6 -H 4 NO 2 )(C 7 H 3 NO 4 )(H 2 O) 2 ]·3H 2 O, in which the central In III atom is seven-coordinated by one pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate ligand, one pyridine-2-carboxylate ligand and two water molecules in a pentagonal-bipyramidal coordination environment. An indium(III)-water chain based on an unusual water pentamer is observed.

In the title compound, [Zn2(C8H4O6)(C12H8N2)2(H2O)6](C8H4O6), the complete ions of both the binuclear dication and the dianion are generated by crystallographic inversion symmetry. The Zn atom is bonded to an N,N′-bidentate phenanthroline ligand, three water moleules and an O-monodenate 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalate dianion. In the resulting distorted octahedral ZnN2O4 coordination polyhedron, the water O atoms are in a mer orientation. Two intramolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds occur in the bridging 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalate dianion within the complex cation and also in the free dianion. An intramolecular Ow—H⋯O (w = water) hydrogen bond also occurs within the dication. In the crystal, O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the component ions into a three-dimensional network.

In the title complex, [Cd(C2H3O2)(2)(C17H10N4O)(2)], the central Cd-II ion (site symmetry 2) shows an uncommon eight-coordinate CdN4O4 coordination geometry arising from two N,N-chelating 2-(2-furyl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f]-1,10-phenanthro-line molecules and two O, O-bidentate acetate anions.

The title compound, {(C6H7N2O)2(H3O)[NaMo8O26]·5H2O}n, features centrosymmetric oxomolybdate anions [Mo8O26]4− (site symmetry \overline{1}). These are linked by Na+ cations (site symmetry \overline{1}), yielding chains which are connected by hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.
