La educación de la mujer según las primeras doctoras en medicina de la universidad española, año 1882

En este trabajo se aborda el tema de la educacion de las mujeres tal como fue desarrollado por las dos primeras doctoras en Medicina de la Universidad espanola. Dolores Aleu y Martina Castells decidieron presentar como tesis de doctorado el desarrollo de una cuestion de especial relevancia en las ultimas decadas del siglo XIX. La importancia que se concedia a la instruccion publica y las dificultades que las jovenes tenian para participar de ella en las mismas condiciones que los chicos, llevo a estas licenciadas a plantear y a defender las razones personales y sociales que justificaban su incorporacion plena a los diferentes niveles de ensenanza.

Education in Spain: Close-up of Its History in the 20th Century

This article is a general description of Spain‘s history of education and how it evolved in the 20th century. I analyze the characteristics of the educational system designed during the 19th century and the changes that took place during the country‘s political stages. I review the objectives and development of each teaching level, the school curricula, the professors, and their education. I also go over the extracurricular initiatives of this period and how they affected the student community. The review helps us understand the achievements that have been made and the limitations we face in the 21st century.

Una educación de referencia femenina

The education of the women has experienced a transformation in its objectives and the extent of its addresses; it has happened in little more than one century. It has provided to them new opportunities of life and activity; but, at the same time, it has demanded to them to resign to important knowledge and practices of which they were protagonists. These contributions guarantee fundamental elements to the family and social life. A new way to understand the application of the equality principle and of the concept genre as category of analysis leads today to rethink the scholastic project so that the feminine sexual difference does not disappear inside this universal modal that is masculine.
