Freisetzungssysteme zur Prozessentwicklung in Kleinkulturen

Marco Scheidle; Barbara Dittrich; Cornelia Bähr; Jochen Büchs

Polymer-based controlled-release systems enable the cultivation of microorganisms in fed-batch mode and with pH control in shaken bio — reactors without any additional equipment. Thus, the conditions of screening and production scale are more comparable and an efficient process development can be performed under similar conditions.

Withstanding the stresses of steam sterilisation

Elisabeth Stammen; Stefan Böhm; Klaus Dilger; Cornelia Bähr; Jochen Büchs

Modern laboratory practice in the biotechnology, medical and biomedical technology industries requires the use of glass components with reproducible shapes, which cannot currently be produced using standard glass melting processes. One possible solution to the problem is adhesive bonding, as this allows for the production of components with complex shapes. However, it is essential that the bonds can withstand sterilisation.
