EXTENSÃO E PRÁTICA SOCIAL: EXPERIÊNCIA COM OFICINAS DE SUSTENTABILIDADE EM ESCOLA RURAL

This paper describes the experience of extension activities with pedagogical practices in school workshops with the Rural Sustainability in Rural School Pedro Lovato / RS-Brazil. The experience results in practices that seek to reflect the environmental and social situation, in order to offer and share with the students educational and scientific tasks addressing sustainability and promoting an awareness process. The workshops run of the concept developed by Paulo Freire in building a popular education, involving students in various forms of activities, in practical action, encouraging discovery, to think, to create, to experimentation and discussion, seeking autonomy student through criticality being developed. Through group dynamics were developed ten workshops covering topics of sustainability, animal welfare, milking management, preservation of flora, fauna, cultural and historical restoration ecology, with the construction of compost and garden suspended. PRONAF: possibilidades e limites de acesso entre os agricultores familiares do município de Cachoeira do Sul, RS

Family farming encompasses producers in diverse social, economic and productive conditions, was built to support the National Family Agriculture Program (PRONAF), created in 1995. The objective of this study is to identify the economic, social and productive factors of family farmers Who have access to the program (pronafians) and those who do not have access to it (non-pronafians). The research was developed in the city of Cachoeira do Sul / RS, with a qualitative-quantitative approach, through the application of questionnaires and interviews with 35 family farmers. The results show differences between the production systems and the socioeconomic levels of pronafian and non-pronafian farmers.

PROMOVENDO A EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL E SUSTENTABILIDADE ATRAVÉS DA PRÁTICA DA AGRICULTURA DE BASE ECOLÓGICA

A educacao ambiental se da em diversos âmbitos, sejam eles teoricos ou praticos, e tem como preconizador a conscientizacao da populacao com relacao ao meio ambiente. A iniciativa de implantacao de hortas ecologicas suspensas no meio escolar e uma alternativa para estar gerando uma responsabilidade entre os alunos que a mantem. O objetivo da implantacao da horta e de, alem de estar incentivando praticas de educacao ambiental atraves do cultivo de hortalicas de forma orgânica, estimular os alunos a reutilizarem materiais. Para a realizacao da horta suspensa foram utilizadas garrafas pet, fios de nilon, pregos, folhas de oficio, lapis para colorir, tesoura e fita adesiva. As atividades foram realizadas com criancas do primeiro ao quarto ano da Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental Dr. Honorato de Souza Santos, Cachoeira do Sul/RS. Conclui-se, que a horta ecologica suspensa servira de base para perspectivas sustentaveis nas diversas fases de vida de um individuo, promovendo seguranca alimentar sem impactar a natureza.

Agroecologia: base da sustentabilidade dos agroecossistemas

Given the environmental unsustainability of agricultural production systems today, the agroecological approach is an alternative to sustainable agroecosystems. The agroecological science works with the idea of biodiversity, the interaction of various plants and animals, which should keep a crop diversification, as well as organic matter and microorganisms in the soil acting, without the use of chemical intervention. Questions which will contribute to increased productivity, for reestablishment and maintenance of balance and hence Agroecosystems, for processing and social environment in a way that it holds over time.
