This paper describes the experience of extension activities with pedagogical practices in school workshops with the Rural Sustainability in Rural School Pedro Lovato / RS-Brazil. The experience results in practices that seek to reflect the environmental and social situation, in order to offer and share with the students educational and scientific tasks addressing sustainability and promoting an awareness process. The workshops run of the concept developed by Paulo Freire in building a popular education, involving students in various forms of activities, in practical action, encouraging discovery, to think, to create, to experimentation and discussion, seeking autonomy student through criticality being developed. Through group dynamics were developed ten workshops covering topics of sustainability, animal welfare, milking management, preservation of flora, fauna, cultural and historical restoration ecology, with the construction of compost and garden suspended. O turismo rural vem crescendo na sociedade contemporânea onde atrai um publico que busca contato direto com a natureza simplicidade do campo, ar puro, belezas naturais, atividades motoras como trilhas ecologicas, esportes radicais e outras formas de promover o lazer e o entretenimento. Alem do cunho economico o turismo rural tambem compreende outros fatores de cunho social, cultural e ambiental. Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir as praticas ambientais realizadas em trilhas ecologicas, com a adequacao ao turismo rural. Neste estudo serao observadas as praticas realizadas na Trilha do Pororo localizada no interior do Municipio de Pinhal Grande/RS. A adequacao turistica da trilha do Pororo enquanto forma de aplicacao de praticas de educacao ambiental desperta a valorizacao e a preservacao ambiental. Os procedimentos metodologicos foram a pesquisa qualitativa de carater exploratorio e descritiva com entrevista direcionada aos proprietarios da trilha, revisao bibliografica, observacao direta, pesquisa de campo e levantamento fotografico. Como resultado identificou-se que atraves do turismo rural a trilha e um produto turistico ofertado as escolas da regiao e grupos de visitantes, onde um dos proprietarios conduz a trilha e desperta nos visitantes a conscientizacao ambiental atraves de praticas de educacao ambiental. A utilizacao da trilha para a finalidade turistica gera a preservacao e conservacao ambiental da mesma. Como conclusao observou-se que o turismo rural vem contribuindo com a sustentabilidade ambiental, pois a trilha do Pororo encontra-se preservada ambientalmente, sendo valorizada pelos proprietarios, moradores locais e os visitantes.

Neste artigo trata-se da pluriatividade a partir de um estudo realizado com onze agricultores familiares que conciliam a atividade agricola com a atividade de reciclagem na Cooperativa de Recicladores Orgânicos e Inorgânicos, situada na zona rural do municipio de Santa Cecilia do Sul na regiao nordeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. O objetivo geral do estudo foi analisar o sentido do trabalho para os agricultores familiares pluriativos, tomando em consideracao a vinculacao destes a Cooperativa. A pesquisa se caracterizou como qualitativa do tipo descritiva. Os dados empiricos foram coletados por meio da realizacao de entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os resultados demonstraram que o ambiente social a que se integram os agricultores vem sofrendo transformacoes significativas oferecendo alternativas de trabalho, as quais os agricultores se engajam, redimensionando as condicoes de reproducao social. Verificou-se que a conciliacao do trabalho agricola com outra atividade tem engendrado novos sentidos do trabalho para o agricultor. Estes sentidos extrapolam o aspecto economico, relacionando-se ao âmbito das relacoes familiares, da sociabilidade, dos papeis sociais, da autonomia dos trabalhadores, da funcao social das atividades de trabalho entre outros. Tambem se evidencia pelo pesquisador um sentido negativo da atividade laboral para os sujeitos em funcao da sobrecarga de trabalho.

This study proposes an analysis of rural development community with reference to empirical rural locality of Cerro Pelado located in Uruguay. The main objective is to analyze the perspective of socio-environmental relations agroecological community Cerro Pelado. For the research methods used were direct observation, field journal, literature review and semi structured interviews. Analyses of agroecology focus efforts on community dimension in which they operate farmers, ie the sociocultural reality that provides an intellectual and political praxis of local identity and its network of social relations. Cerro Pelado is shown integrated with pampa, resists modernization process through the enhancement of their local culture and its countryside. The integration to the pampa is observed through the modes of production of farmers using cattle breeding as their main activity, thus revealing his identity

The environmental workshops act as a process of awareness and knowledge of the issue in this work will be analyzed environmental workshops developed in the years 2011 and 2012, with the design of Knowledge Architects with students from rural school Dr. Honorato de Souza Santos. The methodology used for this study was to develop participatory research, supported by the institution, inserted in Institutional Project UFSM/Technology Social inclusion: citizenship, environmental education and agroecology. The objective of the study is to analyze the practice of environmental workshops as reflection-action process by students for making awareness and environmental preservation. The results allowed the students the awareness regarding the preservation and conservation of the environment and proximity and interaction between the school and the academic universe. We conclude that the workshops fulfill the purpose of raising environmental awareness and promoting a process of awareness of elementary students from school Dr. Honorato de Souza Santos/Cachoeira do Sul-RS.

This study was aimed to analyze the importance and development of environmental issues in schools. The theme of Environmental Education was chosen with the intention of analyzing the environmental initiatives undertaken by pupils in their homes and at school where they study. The activity was developed in a public school in Porto Alegre / RS and was the work of three (3) classes of elementary school. For a more detailed analysis on their perceptions and actions wrapped in the environment, a questionnaire was administered to five (5) questions involving his actions at school and in their homes, as well as their knowledge on the subject. With answers and arguments about their environmentally friendly attitudes, we see that actions that contribute to the environment are carried out, but still without a full or a grand interest for certain students. With the critical perception surfacing, we hope to get a better world ahead.
