The GM models that x(n) be taken as initial value

Dang Yao-guo; Liu Si-feng; Chen Kejia

In this paper, the starting conditions of GM model group are studied. By choosing the nth component of X(1) as the starting conditions of the grey differential model, improvements are made on the models. As the new information is fully used, the accuracy of prediction is improved greatly. Therefore, it has high theoretical and practical value.

Study on affine property of some algorithms for grey relational analysis

Cui Jie; Dang Yao-guo

The grey relational analysis is an important branch of grey system theory. It is the foundation of grey clustering, decision-making, and control. The aim of this paper is to further study the properties of algorithms for grey relational analysis. On the basis of analysis on the existing models for grey relational analysis and their properties, this paper first presents the novel definition of affinity for grey relational model. Secondly, the affine property of some models for grey relational analysis is studied. Finally, the study result indicates that the algorithm for grey T-mode relational analysis and the algorithm for grey rate relational analysis are of affinity. This result may enrich the theoretical system of grey relational analysis.

Improvement and application of GM(1,1) model

Liu Danhua; Dang Yao-guo; Li Xue-mei

The paper puts forward a new conversion method that convert original sequence using cosine function, which proves discrete data sequence can improve smoothness by this conversion in theory. And this conversion is used in GM(1,1) model, which is used in example prediction at the end of this paper, which proves the effectiveness of the method of this paper.

Weighting generating GM (1,1) model and its application

Yang Hu; Dang Yao-guo; Qian Wu-yong

We search for an improved gray GM (1,1) model by data processing. First, a number of properties of generation by weighting are proved, and then weighting generating is applied to GM(1,1). Calculation result indicates that weighting GM(1,1) model is improved and precision is increased. This indicated that weighting GM(1,1) model has better applicability.

The gray disaster forecast of stock market

Cui Jianguo; Dang Yao-guo

In this paper, GM (l, 1) model in gray system theory is used to predict the weeks closing price on the Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 Index fell more than 2.5% and the months closing price fell more than 10%. The results showed that the accuracy of predictive value met the requirements and it indicates that the model can be used for the disaster forecast for the Shanghai and Shenzhen index in long-term and medium-term.

Grey fixed weight cluster model of interval grey numbers based on central-point triangular whitenization weight function

Ye Jing; Dang Yao-guo; Zhang Baoqin

Focusing on the grey cluster problem of observation values with interval grey numbers, this paper presents a new expression of the central-point triangular whitenization weight function by using interval grey numbers. Through the construction of this integral mean value function on the set of interval grey numbers, the scope of application of grey clustering model is extended to the interval grey number category, and thus the grey fixed weight cluster model based on interval grey numbers is established. Finally, the model is applied to an instance, and the results verify the validity and practicability of the model.

A ranking model according to grey analysis theory based on cross-evaluation strategy

Zhang Juan; Dang Yao-guo

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a useful method for evaluating the relative efficiency of Decision Making Units (DMUs), and the cross-efficiency evaluation method has been proposed for ranking. To solve the non-uniqueness of the value of cross-efficiency evaluation, this paper uses the idea of grey relational analysis and defines the ideal DMU, then calculates the grey relational degree of each DMU with the ideal DMU. The new DEA model determines input and output weights depending on the maximum value of the grey relational degree between each DMU and the IDMU, then the cross-efficiency value of all DMUs can be determined and used for ranking. Finally, a numerical example is used to illustrate the efficiency of the new model.

Construction of new weakening buffer operators based on new information and their applications

Dang Yao-guo; Cui Jie; Li Xue-mei; Chuanmin Mi

The grey forecast is one of the important parts in grey systems theory. According to the theory of prior using of new information, based on the present theories of buffer operators and some already existed weakening buffer operators, some new weakening buffer operators are established. Meanwhile, they are compared with the existing weakening buffer operators in effectiveness. The problem that there are some contradictions between quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis in pretreatment for vibration data sequences is resolved effectively. The research result shows the kind of new weakening buffer operators increase the forecast precision of grey forecast model remarkably.

A study of impact factors on China's development in service industry based on grey relational analysis

Zhang Qing; Liu Si-feng; Wang Ting; Dang Yao-guo

With the economic development, the proportion of service industry is going up constantly, which has become a widely accepted rule. Recently, although the economy in our country has almost been kept the leading rising speed around the globe, the service industry has not enjoyed the rising speed as expected and its status in National Economy has not been remarkably enhanced. Apart from the reasons from the economic system, concept, policy and statistic standard in our country, the emergence of this phenomenon must be also related with other economic factors. Based on the statistic data and the method of grey relational analysis, this paper has got the result that for the development of service industry, the most impact factor is the level of urbanization, and then the level of industrialization and the size of urban population, and last but not least, the least influential one is the consumption of urban residents and GDP per capita. Finally, this paper also makes further analysis about this result.

Study on the multi-attribute decision-making model of grey target

Song Jie; Dang Yao-guo; Li Xue-mei; Wang Zheng-xin

This paper studies on the multi-attribute decision model of grey target, proposes a new model of grey target decision-making. First, the operator of utility transformation is proposed to meet the decision-makers need and improve the decision quality. Then an optimization model is established, and index weights are confirmed by constructing the Lagrange function. Finally, the method is proved feasibe and effective through an example.
